Plus given the early success the Gold Coast have had with Collins and Burgess and the spotlight again on tanking, access to players will be the assistance going forward.

and to think Carlton traded away their early access players...

...for shitty draft picks

Geez mate you’ve been calling by here since the Tippett trade!

Always welcome
True, have alway enjoyed the banter on the Crows board so I pop in from time to time, that Tipprat thread was mega, some of the memes were Oscar worthy

I think its hilarious that Iva Bigun is posting on here. Its really pissing off Blues posters on their board. They seem so passionate to be able to want to post on here.

Maybe we should send invites each round to the opposition posters that the Blues face that round.

just read it, probably a fair indication of where they're at.

i.e., they suck, they'll continue to suck, but maybe next year when everyone's got more experience...

...they'll suck some more. Nah, they'll finally magically get better, or something.

Carlton posters should be very worried if they think a rise up the ladder is a formality. I cant see them playing finals for at least another 3-4 years and thats being conservative.

You need a lot of things to go right both on and off the ground.

Campo is a good chance to coach Carlton next year.....

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

He can take Chapman, Smart, Ricciuto, Pyke, Burton, Hart, Douglas, Jacobs, Jenkins, Mackay and Hass with him. Package deal - it's your lucky day Carlton.

How is Gov travelling with that Hammy? If he were still on our list I wouldn't even consider playing him after straining it on Saturday. That guy is still visually overweight and playing one of the most explosive positions in AFL. Doing it on a bung hammy seems like a fast way to tear it straight off the bone.

After our run with hammy's last year I would have him on ice for 2-3 purely out of precaution!

... SOS trded away that pick knowing full well what the repercussions could be. I actually think there will be zero sympathy for them, there's no way that the AFL can justify giving them another pick after they were so quick to trade their original pick away.
Every club that doesn't have a F-S/Academy prospect likely to go early in the first round would be pissed as they would find another player gone before their pick - could be the difference between getting a Rozee and not getting one.

I actually can't believe that Carlton supporters haven't woken up to the fact that Bolton is a dud.

He's in his fourth season and they look to be going nowhere. If they lose to the Suns on the weekend you would imagine that he'd need a miracle to save him from being sacked at the end of the year.

If Carlton finish last surely heads with have to roll, imagine securing pick 1 and Campo being their new head coach.

I put this in the carlton thread- i think this is a win win trade. Carlton don't need another pick 1, they need to develop young kids so by them getting stocker and having an extra year to develop him by swapping 1st rounders thats a win for them. For us we get what looks very much like at least top 3 pick but probably top 2 which we haven't had before, we have never had a pick this far up the pointy end.

The last time we had a pick this high we traded it for a player that had no influence on our flag aspirations.

I hope we don't make the same mistake twice with Grundy

Admittedly Carey was 6 years older than Grundy and cooked beyond comprehension.

Back then also the top draft picks were not valued as much as they are today. With all the science and research going into selections.
