The playing group showed that they had an issue with gibbs getting dropped. It looked as though they had never planned on winning the bunch of pussies.

I keep remembering Chapman saying "this club won't accept mediocrity" the day they sacked Sanderson. Then they appointed Fagan. We would be all about elite standards, he said. It was ironic even at the time - apart from two glorious years there is no club in the history of the league that has been so mediocre. Unfortunately there is a real possibility of Sauce being back. Should have no business in our squad after ROBs game against North.

Gibbs move to Adelaide wasn't about his family but a gambling problem. He wanted family support to get through it. Unfortunately it hasn't got better and he is 500K in the hole. Part of the dropping was the club playing hard ball to get his head right.

Has anyone heard the same? I have doubts because of the source, but he is connected.

Carlton had a group of players with these issues years ago and Gibbs was not mentioned as one of those players. I actually heard Betts was one of those players (I actually heard he improved moving to Adelaide).

From our point of view, a few years back we has an issue with some players. The Crouches were two from memory. When Walsh came in he got rid of the racing channel(s) in the players lounge
