The thing that makes me nervous with trading in Merrett is that it locks my other trade in, if I do Duursma to Hately. Will we know some of the teams by then?

I assume the rest of the teams will come out Thursday afternoon like usual. After zerrets game

Any Hawks fans have thoughts on Lewis? I thought he looked good yesterday, even though he only got to 50 or so. I feel like he could be a good cheaper option, especially as I'm considering a double downgrade this week, but looking at Hately for one spot, who is obviously costly.

I saw your post kraka (am I tagging him them* correctly? I think I am not); were you making the fitness comment just based on what you saw in game, or is it a known issue? Any extra info would be grand!

There is also the suspicion in the back of my mind that Hately is a dumb choice anyway; one game (against Freo!) does not make a star. Then again who is safer (Cotchin out one more week does make Ross a bit more attractive...I already have Stack)?

Targets for next week and beyond will be Laird, Gawn, Merrett. (I did some creative things with my rucks early on. It was bad.)

I might even post a picture of my team soon...but it's hard not to feel slightly ashamed.

I would recommend avoiding Lewis if possible mate, he is very much still in the development stage as a key forward. He is highly rated and i like what he brings as a player but his scoring might not be consistent at this stage. Would have to be F8 to even consider him (would not even want him as my emergency).

I’ve had a look at the western bulldogs board this morning, a lot of talk about Hayes being dropped as he’s too “one dimensional”.

I run the risk of trading him in without knowing the final teams. Should I go Hately, knowing I won’t be able to afford Whitfield next week, or just take the punt on Hayes and hope for the best?

Any doggies wanna give me their thoughts on Hayes’ spot in the team?

think im overthinking this - but can i check off the following
issues:
-no cash (71k itb);
-Thin fwd line (schultz NPR, setters out for another week, parker average and could get dropped)
-duur + clark ready to be culled

trades:
#1 Clark + duur -> young + Zak Jones (7k ITB) : should net me +30 points on field and good cash gen
#2 Clark + duur -> young + Ross via stack dpp (342k ITB) : should net +10 points, good cash gen AND jump to Kelly next week (plus setters back)

now that i write it, this isnt an option
#3 Clark + Parker -> young + Corbett (if named) : sideways rookie trades (no points), risky (353k ITB)

We were playing Bontempelli in the ruck at the last stoppage when we were 6 goals down (which became 7). We played Dunkley at I don't know how many centre bounces. We played Macrae up forward and Billy Gowers in the middle.

Please don't trust the Bulldogs to do anything that makes sense.

Yep. I'd love Merret but I'm just not comfortable taking on the risk of one of my rooks getting dropped and/or Hayes not being named. I just know I'd almost end up quitting the game for the year if I traded in Merret for a dud score (against a team that's apparently hard to score against) and a rook that then gets dropped instantly.

That may be enough for me to revert back to the one up one down. There is lockhart too who is MID DEF and about $200K. He looked like a player to me. I dont know about JS though.

This Wed/early Thursday game is killing me. Both my possible trades hinge on a Stack move into defence and a Clark OR Duursma rookie downgrade (depending on who gets a game) for Hately or Hayes (assuming he gets named).

But because Stack is going to get locked out tonight I've effectively got to guess both if/who gets dropped in defence AND whether Hayes gets named. I was trying to avoid a Merret trade because I thought it'd limit my options but basically every trade I want to do is going to lock me in anyway.

Shit, I didn't even think about Stack being locked in, he's not an in or out but I'm still moving him around. Currently tied to the Hayes trade too, need to move him in the Hately trade.

Just noticed Lockhart is a DEF/MID. Was he always? In my mind, he was just a DEF so I wasn't really considering him. I might get him in my mids over Hayes now given I'm not sure Hayes will play.

Also just realised I don't need to tie Stack into my Duurs trade. They're both DPP so I can just swap them, then make my trade. I'm so smrt.

Similar story here. I may have to go Parker to Baker - as otherwise I don’t have the funds to do that move in isolation.

Rozee is showing as injured on my team, is this just another fine example of the Fantasy website crappiness? Or is he actually injured?

My trades this week are:
Butters > Hayes
Shultz > Walters

I need to know what to do with Rozee if he is injured, I can't find any mention of him on the AFL website though.
