They're the Liberals' attempt to create a RWNJ equivalent of GetUp. GetUp claims to have 1 million members in Australia, which I suspect is a very doubtful claim. Advance Australia probably has around 300 members. GetUp has been around for years, Advance Australia was created about 2 months ago.

Captain GetUp is the only notable thing AA have achieved, and even that achievement has made them look like a mob of complete idiots.

It's no great surprise that you haven't heard of them. Hopefully you'll never hear from them again.

To be fair, his 5 word policies would resonate with lots of people. Obviously his ‘party’ was a dismal failure last time, but the 2 majors haven’t really been much more disciplined while in government over the last decade. There is the Queensland Nickel issue, but lots of voters lose interest quickly. So much not to like about the Coalition and Labor, it’s not really any wonder that a huge advertising spend on simple one liners will result in votes, even for Clive Palmer.
