We literally have only ourselves to blame.

PEA scores that penalty against Spurs, then we beat palace at home and we'd almost be guaranteed to finish in the top 4.

Hard to get excited about another Brazilian youngster with our track record.

This is why I have no idea why Emery selected the line up he did at home to Palace, we all know what we're like away from home.

Despite some improvements in certain areas, you just can’t escape the fact that, for the last how many years, this team and club have been a pack of weak, pathetic losers who eventually fold when the going gets tough. So many fraudulent players and defensive lapses, so much poor leadership.

I don’t even see us getting passed Valencia.

It just too hard to see where the change is going to come from with these players.

It's at a point where most of the squad needs to go.

Whatever people want to say about Unai, if we don't make top 4 with our schedule in the last 8 games he's bottled it.
That team selection at home v crystal palace may very well have cost us top 4 imo.

It's not as if Emery shouldn't have expected that result. He's used that sort of lineup with 3 at the back and nothing in midfield before and it's never been effective. It's like he's watched Pochettino's success with regular formation switches and thought it could work for him too without doing the years of work required to perfect it. For all the obvious faults there, at leat Sarri has an obvious plan that he thinks can get results. In our case it changes from month to month or even game to game.

It all strikes me as far too haphazard.

You can say what you want about Emery getting it wrong with the team selection but the blame has to sit with the players.

These players have been ****ing it up for the best part of 3 years now. We've now hit the event horizon with this squad. They are lazy, disinterested and mentally weak when playing away from home.

The axe needs to fall at seasons end starting with Ozil and Mkhitaryan.

Ozil isn't going anywhere. Last time he was up for contract (available), there was basically no interest in him. And given the money he's on, hard to see anyone looking to get him.
