Stack , Ross and Bata all look like guns of the future, however I am excited by Fraser Turner. This kid just oozes talent. I believe he'll be a gun and will debut before seasons end.

Still reckon we will need to land one or two genuine A graders through FA to replace Cotch, Rance and Riewoldt. That said Lynch will fill the gap when Riewoldt goes.

I think we will hold off on him coming into the team similar to Naish even though Turner is already taller and bigger and a better runner. I believe we have depth for outside players and will keep Turner in the vfl this year

But he is going to surprise alot of people when he does play , The kid is smooth and very nice skills
He and Naish are the main reason i would be happy to see ellis leave as a free agent giving us a nice pick

tough as nails hip and shoulder. puts Melbourne hard man on his ass. That was even better than his mark. On this poll: Ross is equally great in his position. Balta is in the development stage. Sid (Vicious) Stack & Ross stand out more than Baker who is also going brilliantly. Higgins is already established his spot so he's in a different category for mine.

Love Stack but for me has to be Balta. When he is up and about he's like a freight train and everyone around him lifts. Just mould him into our version of Cripps and have home following the ball lol

Everyone loves Stack and rightly so. For mine a potential A grade class, composed inside mid bull over a classy ball carrier all day every day.

Not to say Stack can't win it in close but not to Ross's level. Ross will be more valuable with Martin and Cotchin getting on in age.

Players like Noah Balta dont grow on tree's , When he develops and has his game he will be a player the opposition will be having nightmare's about
18 position player thats 195cm 95kgs but has a great leap and elite pace running around all over the ground.

Kid is 19 years old and in 2 years he will be Smarter,Fitter,Faster,Stronger

Stack also currently impressed more so because he had a big page spread on the heraldsun with photo and everything on weds and still produced with that hype. Now hype will be even more but he has shown it doesnt effect him so far...

Don't underestimate Higgins and I've always liked Baker, Balta has the tools but the man everyone is wating for is Sydney Stack- a wonderfully balanced athlete with a touch of mongrel, exquisite skills and will soon be feared like Byron Pickett was.

after wednesday, it has to be the stackman. **** me that bump was good! was funny watching the melbourne players after, could see they were a little nervous and fumbly around him, as he'd shown what he was capable of.

no slight on any of the other guys btw. ross has been tremendous, baker ditto, and i'm always at half-mast when the big giraffe noah goes for a gallop

I voted Stack although I would have voted for Higgins but I have him in a different crop from the others.

The one I feel I've been too harsh on this year is Baker. I've said that I think he has been just half a step off from AFL pace. I thought the same thing about Lambert early days though and he turned out to be fairly useful . I've been really impressed with his last few games. Hitting the scoreboard consistently as well.

I can see Higgins, Stack, Balta, Ross and Baker all playing a fair bit of football for us in the next few years along with Graham, Rioli, Vlastuin, Lynch, Grimes, Astbury, Lambert, Broad, Prestia, Caddy, Short, Macca, Nank and the kid named Dusty making up the nucleus of the team. RCD, CCJ, Turner, Naish and young Rioli to come as well. The guys to replace along the way in the next few years will be Cotch, JR, Shedda, Houli, Grigg and Rance.... unthinkable a couple of years ago. Possible now, provided we pick up a couple more gun kids, get good compo for BEllis (if he goes) and we should be a high performing team for a while to come.
