Port somehow gets to pay the worst team in football every week until finals
This will be the norm for Richmond this year, last week was an anomaly. Port aren't that good.

We've played two poor teams, too.

I just think there aren't many good teams in it.
There's a stand-out bottom five (Essendon, Saints, North, Richmond and the Eagles), and then a big logjam between about 4th-13th which we are apart of.

I’m actually relieved the Power won. My wine betting game took a twist this year. I actually need both Crows and Port to get as high up the ladder as they can so I don’t have to spend as much on a wine at seasons end. The two are connected to my bet and the higher they both are the better!

Carlton are struggling but I still think they will win around 8 games.

My guess is Port will win around 10. They should start the season 3-1, despite what some in the media were saying they have an easy start to the year.

I predicted the bottom four to be
Richmond
West Coast
Essendon
Saints

I am even more confident now. They will cause the odd upset but most of their wins will come gainst each other.
These 4 along with the Roos are the 5 teams i said in preseason I can't see playing finals.

All the other 13 teams are a chance.

great day of footy for the neutral, and with probably another blowout to come

get on board

I get that it happens in every sport and every season but I do feel like it is going to happen alot this season.

They will put up the odd good game but most games involving West Coast, Richmond, Essendon and St Kilda will be one sided. That's assuming the Kangaroos are better.

Richmond no doubt played a GF last week against Carlton due to the kids and wanting to pump them up. Today is a reality check that youthful exuberance is not going to cut the mustard 99% of the time against hardened teams. So good result for Port on being able to silence the critics but in fairness its how they play against anyone but Richmond, West Coast and North that will be the test and from here its not looking good.
