Maybe just my opinion but I think we need to leave the 2005 team in the past. Remember & celebrate them for what they were, rather than try to replicate them.

They were a great team but they were also a bit of a historical anomaly. Having 20 or so blokes who are fiercely committed and hard as nails is lightning-in-a-bottle stuff, rare at the time and even more rare as the years have gone on.

We ain't gonna get that out of this current squad, no matter how hard we try. It's just not in the DNA of most of them, so trying to use the 2005 team as some sort of inspiration just isn't gonna resonate with them I feel.
