Bit ridiculous that SA are already the winner of the champs! Vic Metro and Allies only played 1 game each.

Wish they'd schedule these better, VM and Allies should've played atleast 2 by now.

Got smashed in a tackle in the first minute of the last quarter right in front of me on the wing and spent a large portion of the quarter off the ground and then went forward on his return

Another prolific outing for Josh Lindsay, rebounding off half back for Vic Country and directing play with his silky left boot. His Country team was under the pump all game from a SA team that's dominated this Champs series, but Lindsay was able to absorb the pressure and respond with composure and class all game.

We have enough young talent that can win their own ball (Reid, Hewett, Hall, Hough etc) but severely lack that outside ball winner that has elite kicking skills. That's why I'm not fussed on Sharp - feels like we have enough of his type already. Probably not a popular decision, but I'd prefer a Lindsay type over the inside mid type like Sharp.

Agree with the bolded part, but I don't know if you go for that type with pick 1. Sharp his the obvious pick 1 now, for us, and probably every other club too.

Our midfield is by no means set. We don't know if Hough will be a mid long term, and I don't think Hewett has completely sold us that he is a full time mid as much as a mid/forward hybrid. And of course Harley still hasn't extended.

A mid at pick 1 is non-negotiable, and Sharp is by far the best pure midfielder in the (open) draft.

We do need to address ball use and outside class, but we should be able to address that with other picks, or in other drafts.

Sharp to me looks like a similar type to Ryle Sanders at the bulldogs. Will be a nice AFL player, a good accumulator, but not sure he is the type of player you take with pick 1.

That being said, if it’s not him, I don’t know who it is for us.

Can see why SA won the championships this year. Skills are a class above the other teams across the board and they have much better spread from the contest.

WA lucky to be up due to errant kicking from the allies. Lots of missed handballs both ways.

Watching the U18s, the umps/AFL are trying hard to get the Allies up for this. Holding the ball, so many times, has not been paid. Tiggy-touch frees in front of goal to the Allies. We are 11 points up. Get it done boys!

Sharp has been the inspirational leader for this SA team which has barnstormed through the opposition in a fashion rarely seen at this level. He was hugely influential in the first half when the game was there to be won and likely sealed the Larke medal for player of the Champs as SA surged into a strong lead. He was quieter in the second half and copped a punishing tackle which left him sore and in the hands of trainers but by then the job was well and truly done.

Genuinely curious about what his range is. Doubt he lasts until Hawks second, could it be our second (pick 19) after it drops back further.

Disappointing in the end. As someone has mentioned before, Wes Walley misses too many simple goals, and is soft. Had the chance to ice us the game, 30 meters out, dead in front, and missed. Maybe he should worry more about the basic skills than peroxiding his hair.
We needed more pace. Just fell short.

I think it’s unlikely any of our NGAs attract a bid thst requires a points match at this stage
