I'm trying to be realistic about this week. They're a powerful unit - they currently sit second, only one game off top now and with a vastly superior percentage than the pies. We're playing them on their home deck, where they're close to unbeatable. We only just scraped over the line against them earlier, in Tassie, when they kicked themselves out of it early.

I know our personnel has improved significantly, but has our form? Not sure. Not saying we can't win, but we're going to have to play at our absolute best to do so, and we've only seen fleeting bursts of that this year, at best.

Not getting my hopes up too high...
Well, I’m getting my hopes way up high, where the cold wind blows….

1 of them on the bench at all times throughout the game. They can rotate and get a nice breather then come back on to the field for another tall to have a rest.

Maybe the subbing of Jai last week was alluding to the mids having to play extra minutes next week because we’re going to be picking Chol without a tall going out.

Dear/Chol rotating wouldn’t be the worst thing.

I was about to type that we should not play all 4, but Lewis and Chol in the 50 with Gunston and Dear as tall half-forwards could work very well IMO.

I wonder if Dear has the fitness, and whether Gunston can handle that workload these days.
This is why we always keep one resting on the bench (albeit for 4-5 mins max).

We can keep those 4 tall forwards fresher throughout the game by resting them more often.

All the talk of 4 talls is interesting, but the more pertinent point is do we have time for them to all mesh together and find the synergy and balance? I think next year would produce better results for this.

Scrimshaw as well. Two first-selection players missing from all 3 lines.
To be fair there is probably a 6-8 goal swing between Launceston and the Adelaide Oval. The Crows last dozen weeks has been pretty formidable…

Im far more confident about our chances against the Lions and Pies - who I think we are playing better than. Adelaide are the best team placed to make the Grand Final

any confidence given we beat them 7 weeks ago without Lewis, Dear and Day?
Crows tyres certainly being pumped up this week, will be a big ask for our boys over there.

I thought I saw our forward line play a bit of a box formation, not seen since the early Clarko days and I wonder if that’s back in vogue.

Will Gunston be in good form next year? Will Chol be happy to stick around if we don't give him any more games this year?

Not super relevant but after some weeks of really 'meh' primetime games, even the neutrals should enjoy a lineup of:

Thursday: Dogs v Giants
Friday: Crows v Hawks
Saturday night: Pies v Lions

All games with massive consequences and storylines.

I hate that song....
I cant stand it either. Its like a bogan anthem.
That said, it pales in to insignificance compared to my hatred for Sweet Caroline. If i hear that "so good so good" garbage again ill lose my marbles
