Windhager on the other hand I would quite easily trade in for Ryan and F2 and feel like we bonused out.
Offer him 4-5 years on good coin to lock him away. Can't help but think he is the perfect fit for what we need.

I hope we stay on the youth path and don't bring in a bunch of older list cloggers. Of the names that have been mentioned to date, the only one we should be actively pursuing is Windhager (assuming there is any substance behind this). As for Starcevich, well, he's a good player but from a risk management perspective the head knocks issue is a red flag.

You have to have some senior players to help the kids. You cannot just have kids as they will not develop.
We need a senior very consistent mid to help our young mids. That will mean not another kid.
Jack steele is definitely not a NO from me, I would certainly be talking to the likes of him.

Agree, we must address our needs and if we have to pay a bit more to get them to come West then do so.

They have got a handful of good young players who should improve next year especially with a bit more stability around them. However the fallout if they don't improve will be entertaining. I hope it works, sick of the Pies, Geelong, Hawks worship.

The Western Bulldogs offer for Cal Wilkie is more than $1 million per year across four years. Just less than $4.5 million all up. Wilkie has two years remaining on his deal at the Saints and is seen as a future captain, but it won't stop the Dogs from having a crack.

LOL Saint Kilda offering all this money to players and now they are probaly going to lose Willkie & Their key ruck.

You’ve not answered my question posed to the other nice chap though, which is what would you reasonably hope to find that could lead you to a plate where you, Underdog, could mitigate all of the facts we know from the public domain?

I’m not thinking of anything outside from a rare allergy where the specific player is allergic to the strains of white illicit powder found in these parts.

Then you have to ask what stops that becoming an issue when he’s playing away or on holiday or anything in between.

I’m not seeing an outcome here.

It's pretty difficult to answer because it requires a level of inside knowledge that we don't have visibility of.

If it was me, I'd be assessing the inherent risk value of recruiting him and defining the individual risks. I'd then be looking at what controls we currently have in place at the club to manage those risks (I'd expect quite a number of controls to already be in place), and then what treatment action plans could be proposed to further improve the controls. Once I've run through that, I'd assess the residual risk value.

Of course, there has to be an appetite, capability and capacity to improve controls if it's found necessary, and that would be factored in to the overall assessment. As will his potential upside.

For all we know, we already have players battling similar issues but we have support in place to treat it effectively.

we had no onfeild mid experience this season . Kelly isn't a role model , sheed and yeo didn't play .

As good as Baker and Graham were neither of them are genuine mids .

We had games this season where we had no senior mids and Harley was getting a tag with no support .

You bring in yeo and steel into the midfield

Bring starcivich in so Tmac can also play mid we may actually have 2 rotations of mids like every other club .

Atm we have 1 rotation and when they tire we get killed .

Saints well inflated Silvagni's price, hence knocking the dogs out of the race.

Because Tigers picked up a stack of young talls last year in the draft? As well as having two key backs in Miller and Balta who are only 25/26. They can't carry them all.

If not a lot then F2 from us looks pretty good. If you have handful already then not so much.
