This Essendon strategy makes no sense. We wont ever trade Zach. He is our captain he has a long term contract! He is our hest player and has won an infinte number of Kevin Sheedies or whatever our irrelevant trophy is called. We are going to start calling it the Zach Merret medal anyway from now on. He is a required player! No trade under any circumstances. Unless of course you pay up. Maybe. But we have to look unhappy when trading.

Plus no Answerth or Payne until mid season and assume Big O heart breaking my bangs them up:

Bit of a shuffle but I think I’d bring one of Cameron, McCarthy, McLachlan or Bruce in to play forward pocket, mainly so we’re not wasting someone like Levi there. Gardiner goes out, Andrews, Ridley and Lester is a tall enough back 3 to manage until Payne is back imo

P.S. For the record.
There’s 16 Victorians on our list, 8 from Western Australia, 5 from South Australia, 2 from Ireland, 1 from NSW and one from the Northern Territory.

Unbelievably, there are only 11 players on our list from Queensland. Shocking! AFL in Queensland is DOOMED.

This is an asinine response to a perfectly reasonable list management/player retention strategy

Given Adelaide's season finished on the weekend, and no announcement was made in the days following, it was pretty clear where he was going.
