Yes agree, making the 8 is hard now, but we weren’t far off top 4
We will make top 4 next year and give ourselves every chance to win the flag
Surely the Scott Brothers and Mitchell work together to get the best results for the clubs.
Cats get Hawks Compo pick 1 for Worpel.
Hawks cover Worpels first year of wages. Helps Cats have cap room for Curnow bid.
Hawks get Merrett
Bombers get Hawks #8
Worpel compo and Huistwait
* For all those saying compo pick gets pushed out. With the new bidding system and top sun prospect I feel it could come back to value some what.
Maybe
You’d expect the cats and lions to make it back there so that leaves 2 spots
That won’t be enough for Merrett.
Essendon will need at least 1 blue chip asset. If you don’t offer a top 4 pick your not in the conversation

After crashing out with a non existent midfield hope we’ve all got enough popcorn to watch Sammy get a little impatient if Bombers and Dees hold their trade valuations on Merrett and Petracca!
2 Fair deals could get done, if a club digs in for overs it will be too hard.If they got a good return on Mackenzie, say pick 7. Could a Merrett and Petracca trade period happen?
7, 8, 26, F12026, F22026, F12027 and perhaps some other fringe players.
I think they could potentially satisfy both Melbourne and Essendon if all clubs traded in good faith.
Not all, 2 firstsLove how Hawk fans think Merrett (elite mid who is 5x B&F winner and contracted for 2 years) is worth pick 8 and a VFL player.
Thats a minimum. Considering that the pick 8 will be likely 10+Not all, 2 firsts
Please do that, him having to walk back into the hanger and play there would be worth missing out on him.Let's just string Hawthorn along so Petracca goes elsewhere, then backflip the final day to keep Merrett and watch Hawthorn's midfield crash and burn.
Any half decent team now knows that all they need to do is tag Newcombe. Better pay up Hawks.
I think it’s possible but unlikely, I will dream about it though until it’s out of the question. If they got a good return on Mackenzie, say pick 7. Could a Merrett and Petracca trade period happen?

Wowee now it’s a top 4 pick hahahaMaybe

You'll get Sam Frost and will like it.One day ago it was Weddle for Merrett and all our first round picks. I think the price did go up.
we dont need bulk 2025 draft picks, would be nice to have but out list spots are tight as it is.
We're likely going to struggle to use all of our current hand (4, 5, draper compensation [6 or end of 1st] 22, 25, Adam Sweid + Hussein El~Achkar). Its not even touching on what we may get for Zac Merret
furthermore, we need to make +4 delistings to the list to accommodate the mid season draftees (3 of which we've re-signed)
Agree.2 firsts?
Think the Bombers will be using narrower ranges with Hawks than a pick between one and twentysomething.
Luckily, your List managers aren't emotional BF posters and are pragmatic professionals. The deal will get done.Agree.
Pick 8 (realistically 11-14) and a F1st (possibly 18) is a hard pass
i would be happy if we go to the draft this year and pick up butters next.Contracted players being chased by opposition teams, equates to paying overs plus sum - else try again next year.
All Clubs need to start taking a stance.
these professionals also deal in reality and not emotional unders. A deal that reflects said players value will get doneLuckily, your List managers aren't emotional BF posters and are pragmatic professionals. The deal will get done.
You cannot rely on Day being fit though. This is the second year in a row he missed the finals series.Which only works if Day doesn’t come back fit and the younger guys don’t improve at all.
The doom and gloom stuff after a prelim is pretty embarrassing
I’d be more worried about the fire sale on May if I were youAfter crashing out with a non existent midfield hope we’ve all got enough popcorn to watch Sammy get a little impatient if Bombers and Dees hold their trade valuations on Merrett and Petracca!
