Just doing Suns a solid by pretending we were interested to help them leverage a bit more from the Swans. Was always choosing them.

In my opinion - regardless of the player - it's never good to openly miss out on someone we have been strongly linked with and were favourites to land.
It's okay on the odd occasion but you don't want to have North's reputation when it comes to missing out on players.

Would have been handy addition but small forwards are something we aren't really lacking in depth with Mansell, Rioli, Campbell, Green, Clarke and Alger off the top of my head. Hopefully we see more of Maurice in the midfield next year, we got shown up for leg speed a lot in the middle and a real lack of defensive pressure in there.

I have. We’re no where near the dogs breakfast that is North/West Coast who go after any player with a pulse and get rejected by practically everyone.

Hi all, first time poster (used to be active a very long time ago).

To be honest, very relieved Rosas didn't choose us. Not sure he fits the profile for us, and his AFL performances are underwhelming to say the least, albeit from his limited chances. I'd much rather invest the time into Alger.

I haven't heard any news around Sam Butler, but that is more the type that would intrigue me, and his finals performances were encouraging. Hustwaite less so, but I can see why there may be interest. I'm just not sure where he fits.

Any mature inclusions that come in, for me, I'd like to see improve our ball movement. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot on the market right now that fit that bill in terms of athleticism and ball use, which I think is our glaring list hole right now. However, I think we can find that within. I am big advocate for moving Tom Brown into the midfield. I am not privy to his tank, but we just simply need the ball in his hands more. I see no reason why he couldn't be our Hayden Young

prototype. Young seemingly does not have the tank (averages around 60% - 75% TOG), but he is maximum damage. The midfield mix needs a shake up as we all know (Taranto forward more, increased time for Lalor/Hotton/Brown). Brown could be an easy re-shuffle as our defence is the most settled area.

I won't feel underwhelmed if we didn't land anyone in this period, as I think with some creativity we can essentially find 'new recruits' within the four walls and not compromise our future draft hands. However I am intrigued what we do with the ruck situation. It's looking like we may go down the SSP route, which is fine (for next year at least), but we will need to get a top dog in a year or two. I honestly thought we'd be in the market for someone like Moyle.

That is the last 4 players we recruited. Club had to offer more years with more money on all occasions. We had to even give Balta 7 years just to stay.

And who is to say we didn't offer the same or more than Swans? You clearly have no intel either. Club has NO ONE wanting to come since they moved on from Dimma. 5 years ago we were bigger than Geelong. They have completely pants ass since then when it comes to the trade & free agent period. Club has made some very poor decisions since 2020

Surely there is 1-2 players from the other 17 clubs that wants to come to Richmond & we think would make us better?

Picks is one way to rebuild & quite often, not the most reliable way unless you have a A+ coach and development team, which i am not at all convinced we have.

Club lacks leadership on & off the field atm.

What makes you think "next year" we will have players wanting to come to us? We don't control that. If the club couldn't convince Rojas to come for more opportunities and a bigger role VS the Swans then we are struggling & clearly not a trustworthy option for FA's

It’s ridiculous that people are upset about a player who can’t get a game with Gold Coast. It’s not the end of the world, ffs. Seriously, nothing would make some posters happy, regardless of what the club does. They just like to complain for the sake of it. In my view, it’s all about the draft.

We are a bottom 4 side with a long way to go. It's understandable that guys arent picking us atm. We arent ready unless its someone looking for an opportunity.

The media also ****ing hate us cause we give them nothing. Meanwhile they piss in the pockets of the Bombers or the Cats or the Saints because they play the game through the media.

Another year of natural progression for us and id expect to see a few more players from other teams taking notice and hopefully wanting to jump on board.

I'm not losing sleep over losing the interest of a Rosas jr nor am i overly concerned that no one is waiting to come here just yet.
