Rules of engagement:

They are going to start paying players by the minute spent on field, few blokes only getting 7-10 minutes of game time a week .

I actually like the more critical lens.

Better than VFL write ups from a few years ago where a player obviously had a stinker and they'd still be trying to find nice things to say.

At least this way you get a sense of which players need to improve and how.

They shouldn't be rude but if they don't have anything substantive in them then honestly what's the point.

Not sure about this. With a basketball style centre bounce a tall ruck that can jump may jump over top of reeves. Reeves is tall but can’t really jump and doesn’t love body contact. Reckon it may favour Chol more than anyone.

Also reeves and Meek isn’t a great combo. Both need to be playing primary ruck and not great as resting forward etc.

If Chol plays more ruck Ramsden may actually be more useful - showed this season is possibly our best down the line mark, can ruck and has a huge tank.

Chol already approached the centre bounce in a perfect way for the throw up. He gets high and rarely makes early body contact. He will be a beast with the new rule you would expect.

I think his write ups were on the whole more harsh than warranted.

Constructive criticism is good but he rarely tempered it with positive feedback which is just as important.

The best coaches always use a mix of the carrot and the stick, he seemed very stick orientated.

Who are their goal kickers? I honestly dont know.

Georgiardes feels like 2 goals a game at most. With some flat tracking againt poor teams.

There tall stocks down back aren't great, Scrimshaw improves that area and McKenzie helps their midfield without Butters. They might ask for Lewis and I also wouldn't be against it either.

If we are doing the right thing we shouldn’t be using a first rounder until after the Tassie team is fully established anyway (7 of our top 10 players at the BnF were traded in over the last five years and not drafted)
