Yeah nothing to do with the fact one GF was played Sunday night primetime and the other was played on a Saturday arvo.
It’s interesting how it suggests a similar level of penetration. What are the percentages in other Metro areas?

How many in SEQ were watching the Bledisloe Cup which was on at the same time as the AFL GF?

I thought the AFL metro numbers weren’t released without paying $800. Does that post contain the data for the other Metro’s for the AFL?

Expecting decent crowds this summer in Perth

“Mr Stephenson said he was also encouraged by early demand for the Australia-India one day international, which will be held on October 19 at Optus Stadium.

“The latest figure I’ve got is 40,000 – for an ODI in October, I think that’s incredible,” he said”

In regards to the Cricket. There is an article doing the rounds.

700 000 tickets sold for this summer across men's and women's internationals.

White ball games vs India.

Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra all sold out. Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane close to sell outs.

And thats why India has a deathgrip on control of the game.

Don't beleive a lot of the premier league or NFL attendances. All their attendances are based off tickets sold, not people in the stadium.

Have you got a link to back up that claim?

Fair enough. A bit like people questioning the home crowd numbers given out for some of our clubs crowd numbers partically GWS and the GC.

I mean every Australian city has a very, very substantial Indian expat community.

Crowd today for ODI in Perth was 42,423 which was pretty good considering the weather I think it was about 6 rain interruptions….

The crowd split was 80/20 to the Indians I reckon.
The weather wasn't that bad that people with tickets wouldn't have rocked up.

But yeah there was absolutely no hype for this at all outside the Indian community seemingly.

Pretty obvious that there has been little hype about Australia's ODI games since CA thought it was a good idea to take them off FTA TV.

Rugby League internationals this weekend are due for some big crowds, with 65,000 expected in London’s Wembley for The Ashes Game 1 England vs Australia, and 45,000 expected in Brisbane for Pacific Championships Tonga vs Samoa match up.

The next two Ashes games are sold out at Everton’s stadium in Liverpool 52,000 and Headingly in the north 20,000.

Not less humiliating than how we name an All-Australian team without anyone to play against.

Picking a ceremonial best team at the end of the season makes perfect sense.

Co-opting The Ashes from cricket does not is about the same level as giving every scandal the -gate suffix
