Watching the women's cricket team makes me understand how All Blacks fans would have felt for close to a decade.
It's like playing a stacked team in a middle or lower grade community game. Instead of the the number 8 coming out with their thigh pad on the outside, they play a perfect forward defense to the first rock and crash the second through cover like Kim Hughes and you are going to yourself "God f#$king Damnit!".

Where Wembanyama ends up on all time lists ia going to be purely down to how much he can stay on the court. Im not sure this level of athlete has ever existed before.
His shins are so long it's insane, I couldn't imagine the pressure his knees are under...

it's hard to bulk when you're 7'3.5" (barefoot) but if we want's longevity he's gotta focus on strengthening those legs.

it's making me cringe thinking about what could happen if someone crashes into him at an awkward angle...

He's like a video game character that you turn all the sliders up to 100 come to life

I swear they've mentioned before that the French national teams physio lives in San Antio part time for the NBA season. And when you watch Wemby play, you'd almost back government intervention to keep him as healthy as possible.

Watching Cooper Flagg being in absolute awe of him shows just how insane the dude is. Like he was thinking "how TF am I ever gonna be that good?"

Is this Cooper Connolly's 1st successful international performance?
Yes but the caveat is that most of his international performances he hasn't even been required to bat

3x DNB in 7 ODIs
1x0 where he opened, not his slot
1x3 at 3, thats definitely a fail
7* (retired hurt)
then tonights

in T20
4x DNB
1x 13
1x 0

Has a 5Fa with the ball atleast

In his one test he did bat (only 1st innings) and choked though

Yeah he'd started getting a bit of hate but I'll be ride or die on Cooper stock. Theres a serious talent there

He’s so stationary at the crease & I think that’s why he can hit the ball so hard. His technique reminds me of Sean Marsh, hopefully he fulfils his potential more than Marsh did.

Reluctant to say it (only because the commentators said it 100 times) but he did look so calm and composed the whole innings, he didn’t seem to have any doubts anyway.

Connolly was super impressive last night.Very composed and led the way after Smarts dismissal.
Not quite a full time all rounder, but especially at BBl standard, his spinners are good. And a very classy fieldsman.
Short, Own and Connolly looked the part.
Renshaw blew the chance for a big one last night. He had looked secure, but got carried away.
Though not saying Zampa didn't deserve the MOM, I thought that Connolly was a certaintly to get the award.Zampas four fa, an almost century, against Connollys 61NO, which could have been an almost century.

I am definitely a sucker for players that do it with simple, minimal movement (and a lefty cover drive)

She was 4/0 at one stage. Amazing display of leg spin bowling

She's becoming Warne-like now in her status in the Women's game. The previous match was almost as impressive - 0/20 from ten overs of an ODI with short boundaries.

It was actually 1/20, but yeah point stands. Batters just have no idea, she turned a couple over 7% last night and 4 of her 7 wickets were bowled. She has them completely bamboozled.

I watched the last half of the "Ashes"test against the Poms last night in Rugby League.
How were they ever allowed to use the "Ashes" name for this code of sport?
But any way, Aussies smashed the Poms 26 to 6. The Poms only disturbing the scorer in the last minute of play.Though not a great lover of rugby of either code, A player that is an amazing athlete for the Aussies , is Reece Walsh. Regardless of whether you like the game or not, this young man is an amazing athlete. He has the razzle dazzle and flair that brings in crowds to see him play.
He was super impressive in the NRL grand final, but last night showed the Poms up badly.
Next two test on the 1st November and then the 8th.

Australian RL was five times more professional than English RL last time we played the Poms in England, now it's 10X. Walsh is a star but his prep for this Test has been non-stop partying since the Grand Final. This must be a very poor England team.

Three things - I said exactly that to my partner. How on earth can RL appropriate the name ‘Ashes’ ?? It’s almost embarrassing.
Also Australians are the only boofheads who take RL seriously. If they don’t beat everyone in the world then something has gone terribly wrong.
Finally Reece Walsh has easily overtaken Mary Fowler’s boyfriend as the best in the game. Freak of an athlete.

I watched the entire game

He dominated

It’s been called that since 1908
