If we got this, I’m quoting every eagles fan who said we have to trade 5, 6 and a future first for their pick 2, only for us to get him at our pick. I’m going to be unbearable, I know every eagles fan wants Robey the most in this draft and for us to get him. It will just be sensational but I don’t see Richmond passing up on him. I’ve maintained this whole time it will be 2 of Sharp, Cumming or Taylor and it seems Schubert is the outside chance.
We would just have to do it before we know he may or may not be thereAlso a chance Schubert is our target for trading up our two 20s picks for pick 15
Some ITK on Richmond’s board is saying they’re taking Sharp and Cumming with their first two picks, with the assumption West Coast is taking Duursma & CDT, so apparently Robey slides to our picks. I don’t see this happening btw and this code YouTube channel is saying we’re taking Sharp with our first pick, and we’re doing a deal with Gold Coast for pick 18 & 36 for 21 and 27.
Cumming has similar, but with the flat kicking arcFrom everything I have seen of him it is workable and it has not affected his efficiency. There are actually a lot of AFL players who remove the guid hand early. For me it is a lot worse if it is a higher ball drop issue which it is not. It is similar to the issue Jobe was having early on. His action is pretty fluent and other than a slightly early release there is nothing else in it.

Bit worried looking at Cummings kicking a bit closerCumming has similar, but with the flat kicking arc
I’d hope we have some sort of deal in place with Carlton if Robey and Taylor go before our pick using our 2nds and 6 to get 9/11.
Seems like a win win as they delay the dean bid and get a better player then they could get with say the wce trade.
Carlton walk away with 6 and dean
We walk away with say cumming/dov/farrow
This is the appeal of Sam Grjl. Highly unlikely but he does add something we don’t haveNo.
Robey has a bit of burst and likes to run but is not more than above average.
Cumming the same.
Sharp is a bit slower than them but in saying that he is not as slow as some make out. He is just average. Not bog slow.
We cannot fix all the problems in a few drafts, and I agree we need some more speed. These guys ad competitive edge.
I would say that we just need to add speed at some stage and it does not have to be midfield. It can be half back or wing.
If those guys are off the table then I happily take the Sharp/Cumming duo.
He is more a wing, but I do like him. Great endurance runner.Matt LeRay as a taller outside mid looks like a good option at 21. Kicks on both sides and only took up footy properly late in his junior career so maybe has more upside than others in that range.
Otherwise hopefully there might others to choose from like Barker, O.Taylor, Pickett.
no Cumming first?Don’t think there’s any world Cumming goes before Robey
Also captained SA junior cricket and was considered a good leader.Matt LeRay as a taller outside mid looks like a good option at 21. Kicks on both sides and only took up footy properly late in his junior career so maybe has more upside than others in that range.

EaglesWho says no to this hypothetical trade Ess, Eagles or Suns?
Bit of a hypothetical live trade scenario before suns players bid on.
Eagles In: 15,21 Out: 13,34,41 (similar points +34 pts)
Suns In: 27,30,41 Out: 15,52 (points gain +192 Points)
EFC In: 13,34,52 Out: 21,27,30 (deficit points -226 pts)
Allows Suns more points to match.
Allows Eagles to pick 4 x first rounders.
Moves Essendon 3rd pick ahead of Sweid bids, plus later picks to match bids which will come in after suns players matched.
Dons/Eagles don't bid on suns players
Do you rate Sweid or El-Achkar ahead of any of those guys....They all sound like top 20 selections to me.![]()
It’s AFL draft day. Here’s who your club is set to pick
Here’s our final forecast of how the first 30 picks at this week’s AFL draft will play out.www.theage.com.au
The Age has us taking Sharp, Cumming, Schubert, Barker and Hibbins-Hargreaves
No mention of Sweid or El Achkar
Isn't Sweid rated as the second best small forward after Dovaston and well inside the top 30? We don't have any other list spots as far as I know so if we're not getting them inside the top 30 we're not getting them at all unless they slide to the rookie draft.Do you rate Sweid or El-Achkar ahead of any of those guys....They all sound like top 20 selections to me.
I would be pretty happy.
But we haven't improved our small forward department. H-H is more of a medium.
I would take Sweid ahead of NHH but otherwise pretty happy with that quality wise. Doesn’t really fix our small forward issue though![]()

Sweid is a midfielder. Can play a role forward and will probably start there but he is a midfielder.Isn't Sweid rated as the second best small forward after Dovaston and well inside the top 30?
