I would hope they bring him over for the first day of all the new guys rather than later go through all the introductions and inductions by himself. He can go back home after that if home is best for his recovery.

I want to develop someone as a half back. Or small back. Just felt at times we lacked that balance.
It is picky looking for faults that has lost to a generational team (Brissy) in prelim and grand final (we could easily have won back to back as well without them for what that is worth! Must be what NBA teams felt about the Jordan Bulls - just played in wrong era!)…
but with Mullen playing a (good) role as tagger we seemed to lack that lock down and/or runner out of half back…I feel like we need someone…for 2026 it won’t be either of the new recruits but maybe one of them could be that player in 2027?

Hoffman - NGA on Saints list last year that we took when they couldn't match....
HBF in the preseason was of note before gettinghurt - played a few VFL games at end of season and had a few nice moments

I think it fits into one of those “new recruits” in that really we don’t know much more than what we did 12 months ago? I note that the “year in review” was a 19 second clip showing him kick his first goal…reflective that we didn’t get to see what he could do.
From what we did see, I do think he has some attributes to push his case…but I dont know if he is that lockdown nor “speedster” gap we have? His good highlights were more on him being a good interceptor? Which we have plenty.
Certainly I would love him to come on and ask the selectors some questions..

Was this bloke played on a wing for SA because of their midfield being stacked with quality? I reckon he’ll develop into one of those explosive/powerful inside mids.. similar to danger I spose, but no pressure..

When your on ballers are Cumming and Sharp you may struggle to spend time on the inside.
I think his end to end running would have also meant his coaches likely would have left him on the wing regardless.

Some of the GC lads been in the academy since puberty or before.
Those highlights look seriously impressive. Picking up a player of that quality for the equivalent of an early second-rounder is very estimable business.
Looks to be a fantastic build for modern footy, moves really well, and his acceleration from a standing start left a bunch of opponents clutching the air. While his kicking and decision-making are clearly of a very high standard, I also loved seeing how he used handball to open up space, did the hard work to get back and tackle/smother, and also laid a great shepherd after dishing off. That kind of team ethic is really valuable and will undoubtedly endear him to the coaches if he keeps it up.
Overall, couldn't be happier with this pick. When you're going in at 24 with your first selection in an extremely shallow draft (in terms of the open pool), Harley shapes as the very best you could hope to see.

It's the way the club handles these things. You can be sure he'll be made part of the outfit from the get-go.
It's not much to ask for - a Mitch Duncan replacement with pace would be nice. 
Mitch did have some time in the midfield too but there is serious value having a prolific, classy distributor on the wing. The ones who can alternate between there and stoppages, like Gulden, are particularly game changing.
Hopefully all goes well with his rehab.
