2026 kit below. Only a minor change to drop the 100 year logo and move the FFC monogram back below the Mission logo. The same for the white clash jumper. Completely unsurprising given we've used each ASICS design for 2 years before they've changed them since they became our apparel sponsor in 2017 and last year was the first with this collar.

Before colour TV, the jumper was unique, the red hoop proudly high on the chest. 2 simple hoops, not profligate like Geelong; no silly yolks, Vees, stripes, sashes or mis shaped initials. RAISE THE HOOPS.

Couldn’t agree more, even though I had to look up the meaning of one word you used.
We really don’t respect our glorious heritage in that beautiful guernsey of pre colour tv. That we could have the best jumper in the game is a bit frustrating.

This is the most iconic photograph of the great man. We even build a statue on this image. It’s also both the most iconic image of our guernsey and our best guernsey too. The red hoop is meant to meet the cuff under the arm. That means the hoops go across the chest and makes the jumper look strong and bold and well balanced. The picture of the modern guernsey up the top is a good jumper, great colours, embarrassingly low hoops that aren’t very bold across the chest where they’re meant to be. How all the so called professionals who run the club, and are meant to respect our past, and the people they hire to design the jumpers not get how out of kilter they are is beyond me?

Your point re the placement of the hoops is spot on.
It’s something that has irked me since some marketing boffin decided to totally rebrand the club.

Saints are really ahead of us when it comes to their two jumpers for next season. This is their 1966 Home jumper and a great clash jumper. Both great Aussie rules football jumpers.
We have a home jumper way out of kilter with the very low hoops. And I don’t know whether we’ll be rocking the stupid extra low hoops clash jumper or the equally embarrassing clash that has the cartoon bulldog? Either way both are hideous.

I don’t hate the current jumper, it's much better then some we've worn in the not so distant past. It would be nice to have a stronger connection to the past though, I think generally younger fans won't know/care. The ones that do hold onto memories of where we came from are on our way out so the further it goes into the rear view the less likely we are to see a shift back to the former.

So these are our two jumpers for next season. I will post no more complaints after this, will happily continue with any discussion others want to have on the subject. But I love our club and what our jumper could be. The first one is still great but could be better. The second one is just a childish joke. Embarrassing. Together they are a mess. Look at Brisbane for instance, there is continuity between their three jumpers, maroon, red and gold excellent. Most clubs now respect what they wear in front of the public. Their two jumpers are the same template with different colours. To ask Bont and Libba and co to wear this crap doesn’t sit well with me.
I get I’m bit of a jumper nerd, I think they’re important. I still have my letter from David Smorgon when I wrote to him pleading we get rid of ‘Robodog’ and get our hoops back. Thank God when we finally cracked it and won a flag, it was in our hoops. Since Asic’s has been our apparel brand they have done amazing training jumpers from year 1 in 2017, even this year too. They are a capable company, they make our Olympic and Cricket teams gear. I reckon it’s from someone at the club who just doesn’t get it with football jumpers. The rot started when we lowered the hoops to incorporate numbers and sponsorship on the back. No other club would do this. The standard for any clash guernsey is would we be happy to wear it on Grand Final day? Because it’s a genuine possibility if we played Brisbane or others as the away team. I hate to have to play in a cartoon guernsey.
