Hi team,
Does anyone know when the 2026 Ultimate Level 2 memberships will become available online?

Tickets for Opening Round are going on sale on Wednesday for AFL Members. Unsure about other member groups

Do we know when we get our membership codes to access the tickets tomorrow?

edit: nvm email with the barcode came through

What did u end up going with Minga ?

Short version:

I haven’t decided yet re: whether I’ll keep my MCC or not. I have not paid it yet, and already have incurred late fees. I am heavily leaning towards letting it go.

I have sorted my 2026 saints membership though ofc, that’s the important thing.

Long version:

The thing with the MCC is, as a restricted member I think it was $700 for a year. If I remember right the saints play at the G, 3 times in 2026. So that’s just not financially worth it whatsoever, the seats and environment aren’t that good, let alone further costs if they apply (travel, food n drinks, recreation costs, extraordinarily expensive guest tickets if you want to bring someone in).

And the chance to go to finals (if they’re at the G) also isn’t worth it for the price if you ask me, no matter how much you’re earning I personally believe it’s not good value, that’s just me, as a saints fan. I’d like to think that even if I was on a high earning wicket I still wouldn’t spend money every year on a membership I hardly use just for the sake of it.

As a full member I believe it’s somewhere around $900-1000 a year, before all the other costs, my memory is a bit foggy at the moment.

People like to think it would be nice just to rock up at the G whenever for a game if you have MCC, but I’ve found in the 6-7 years I’ve had it I’ve only done that once or twice, so the cost isn’t worth it for me in that regard.

And most years I prefer to watch the GF with loved ones and mates, instead of sitting alone at the G (and I assume also paying hundreds more for reservation costs).

There were several other things I was borderline overthinking about i can’t recall atm, few people mentioned it as a networking tool as well whatever that’s worth. I think I did the math and it would cost me (without taking into account fees being raised), $40,000+ to have the MCC until I was a 50 year member (when the fees dropped drastically), and when I put it like that it just seemed a bit silly because if I extrapolated how often I currently use it, that might mean $40,000 for 150 games, and MCC bragging rights.

I’d happily pay a luxury tax on a membership like this if the saints played at the G as a home ground, or if the MCC also had a section at marvel that was properly open to MCC members. But, unfortunately this is not the case.

All in all, I’m leaning heavily towards giving it up. It’s a stupidly hard decision because 9/10 people tell you you’d be nuts to give it up, but I’m just not sure it aligns with my financial values, so to speak. Ultimately I’m aware this is a privileged position, and I’m glad I’ve had it for a few years for the odd game I’ve loved, but I feel the resentment growing for what the MCC represents and the gap between its cost and value for someone in my position (saints fan, cricket casual, not a high earner).

Edit: I’ll also add, I don’t like the way the AFL/MCC is trending, and it’s not out of the equation that I completely fall out of love with the sport at some point, because there are many aspects about it that make me feel like a chump - so this sort of topic is a microcosm of that for me as well.
