Every batsman from 1-11 getting into double figures seems kind of rare, as well as no centuries in a score over 500.

It's only the third time in Australia's history that every batsman has gotten into double figures.

Poms looking like being beaten by the worst Australian Ashes team since 2010. Oh, and the Aussies two of the worlds best bowlers out.

It's a folly for England to have put so much trust into two injury prone fast bowlers. Archer and Wood were both very good bowlers in their prime however not so much now. Neither seem to be able to give more than 5 overs of top pace per day.

Their first innings in Perth was sensational but it all drops away very quickly when they are asked to back up with another spell.

The English batsmen just can't resist a flash at a ball outside off stump for longer than an over. Limited footwork and just go hard at the ball. Entertaining for sure but not likely to be a reliable way to bat in Australian conditions.

The poms arent match fit. They start the day off well but by the end of the day they're cooked.

Their prep was horrible.

Be nice to wrap it quickly. If they hang around & get to a 150 lead, get us batting in the night session it could be tricky.

Me: Neser? Why did they select Neser?!?
Neser:

Poor Archer; not only has he had a really rough trot with injuries, but he’s also now chirping Steve Smith when he’s turned from rooster into feather duster every time the game was in the balance for the first two tests. Oh dear.

Jofra cranking up the pace when the game is done.

No wonder Smudge gave him a spray.

Whats the score between those two now

Like 0/120 now lol and no one had bowled more balls at smudge then Jofra Archer at Test level without getting him out.

Steve Smith is Jofra Archer's bunny - just ask the Barmy Army and Piers Morgan.

At least the Barmy Army did its job this test and sang whilst England were losing, in Perth they were a disgrace.
Nah sorry, I can't give them credit either. They literally also did a Jofra Archer. Day 1, batting first, literally didn't hear a peep out of them all day at the ground right up until the final 45 minutes when we allowed them 60 runs.

Game's over and the gallows humour kicks in? Time to rip out a hymn or two. Game on the line? Nervous murmuring and a bloke in tears on the big screen.

England have a massive bowling problem by the looks of things. Australia batting like under 5s that first innings in Perth aside, the only ones any good have 1, 5 over spell in them at max, and the rest cant put it on a line and length consistent enough to pose any kind of serious threat.

And looking at the Aus A result, doesnt look like there's anything in the shed either. Archer has pretty much destroyed his reputation and "legacy" to any Australian in the space of two tests.

Who is Hazelwood and Cummins replacing?
Cummins is replacing anyone that isn't Starc. Best fast bowler we've had since McGrath.

But honestly think its Cummins and Lyon for Doggart and Neser. It's unfortunate on both but that's the reality when we have Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood. And Boland has usually been the one to fill in and never puts a foot wrong, especially in Australia.

If Cummins is even 80% to his best, England shouldn't get near us.

It is easy to forget that our bowling attack is so good no individual gets the accolades they deserve. Seeing Starc without Cummins, Hazelwood and Lyon sharing the wickets illustrates just how good he is and how lucky we are to have followed on from Warne, Mcgrath, Gillespie and Lee with this lot.

I also don't think Khawaja should get another game. Stick with Head and Weatherald for the immediate future.

Archer is the bowler Smith has faced most in tests without being dismissed. Something like 222 balls from him without getting out so far. The bunny relationship is the other way around.

Huge bowling issue. I am jealous of Brook, who at his age could be very good for a very long time. This was their best chance to beat us. Cummins and Hazlewood out, plus a weakened batting line up.. They won't get a better shot to beat us here for a while.

By the time we have the next series here we will have improved our batting and found another up and coming bowler.
