I pre ordered the new kookaburra puffer vest as soon as it was up on the rooshop site. I got a call yesterday to say kookaburra are running behind and it will come mid January. Had a look in the shop site again today and it's gone, you can't order it. Very strange. I also got my membership minus the card.

With fixed stadium maximums (obviously smaller at Docklands) it was always somewhat of a game of hanging on and building slowly for us to be sustainable. We don't need 150,000 members each year, but every 1,000 we get closer to that minimum attendance of 35-40k - essentially capacity for a home team at Marvel - we make ourselves more and more bulletproof.

Edit: BTW, just for the irony of it, arguably our atrocious FTA deal will help us if we ever get to these numbers - the best way to see North play will be at the ground as you won't see them on TV even in Victoria. Could actually be to our benefit if we get attendances high enough.

My best little mate and I joined a Sheffield Wednesday group as a Christmas treat. Part of the "membership package" was a pen. Whoopee do I thought, until just about an hour ago, when I noticed the pen had a flicky type thing on it. Further inspection it was an enscrolled fixture list! Home matches printed on one side, Away matches on the other. Pretty cool for a pen I reckon.

Small thing but it’s nice to have something in the pack noting years of consecutive membership. Can’t believe it’s 30 years since - after the Fitzroy merger talk - I called to sign up. (I’m originally from NSW where no-one was a member of a sporting club unless they wanted access to a Leagues club dining facilities.)
