I dont know all the ins and outs, but SoS seems to have a major falling out with Carlton when he left. Not sure if that's been resolved or notIts incredibly insane given the current situation with Tom
Talk about a complete and utter lack of logic

Theres a difference between being in your son's corner and denying they committed the crime their convicted of.If he is convicted he has to shut up, if he said that whilst he was convicted its a different story imo
Put yourself in SOS shoes, what would you do? You protect your son at all costs
My son could kill someone and I would still be in his corner, rightly or wrongly
Yeah there you go, directly asked him to lie via textAdelaide Advertiser saying he messaged the mate asking him to tell the chick that he had returned. Surely that suggests that he acknowledges someone went into the room.

Given Carlton’s Respect Program, the SOS comments yesterday would have been devastating for our club.I remember reading when Jack played his 100th game, he didnt want to attend his celebratory function post game and sat it out in the car park. I get you can leave a place not on best terms, but surely you swallow your pride and be there for your son. Sometimes its not about you.
Read a news snippet that said Sylvania was also expelled from Xavier College when he was 16. The news article was deliberately vague as he was under age, but it alludes to an incident of a similar nature

Saints is such an appropriate fit for all this bullshit.
Very thankful for the outcome.
Yes there was something on X about an incident in 2019 that resulted in his expulsionI've heard rumblings he's done similar before
Go back to supporting Tanner. This is gross. A woman was r*ped and you're "glad" and "thankful" it doesn't affect your football club.
flipping gross.
Yes there was something on X about an incident in 2019 that resulted in his expulsion
How is this admirable?! He is basically saying my POS son hasn’t done anything wrong! If he accepted the verdict and his son’s guilt he could still stand by him but he’s not doing that.
Yes football tribalism is the important outcome here.Given Carlton’s Respect Program, the SOS comments yesterday would have been devastating for our club.

Ok turncoat.Yes football tribalism is the important outcome here.
You w***er.
His reputation going down with his son. He's all in.Listening to SOS statement outside court, I stupidly waited for him to wish his son was innocent but hoped the girl in question was ok and getting all the help needed
Oh well opportunity missed by SOS
They've dug a deeper and deeper hole with absolute no alternative theory.Wonder how far they’re going to go with this? The opportunity for the discounted sentence from pleading guilty and showing remorse is done, so now it’s just about how much money they blow trying to turnaround the verdict.
You have to wonder whether there was a time where if he wasn’t a POS, he could have accepted what he’d done, thrown himself at the mercy of the victim and negotiated a way out that saw him punished much less severely than a sentence that’ll eat up half a decade. But they’re locked in for the ride now.
Oh sorry my mistakeThe poster is referring to Tom's gf, not the victim.
Really!? I have a 16 year old son. He has tried to pull the wool over my eyes many times ( as I did to my Dad when I was a kid ) and I’ve called him out on it many times. I still love him but never excuse his behaviour if I don’t think it’s right. I think the blindly believing “my son is perfect and couldn’t possibly have done anything wrong” is a big part of this whole situation from the beginning
Any reason why Stephen Silvagnis job is not finished?
If Bob Smith from St Kildas playing list did what Stephen did he would be out of a job for sure with all the media pressure.....
They've dug a deeper and deeper hole with absolute no alternative theory.
His actions are not that of an innocent man.
Yes ok Tony SopranoIf he is convicted he has to shut up, if he said that whilst he was convicted its a different story imo
