Yes, what does it mean if a Cat B player is out with a LTI?

NHH relocating to WA aiming to get a shot at AFL level is interesting. Which WA club is having a look?
Can only replace with another Cat B with an otherwise full list.

Harper always played up in his older brothers side. His disposal can be really damaging when he makes the right decision. He always projected to be the better of the 2 imo. Would like to know his height.
I’d like to know if we are going to make space on the list to match the pick.

Checked last year’s training thread

The NGA lads and Banfield were training with us prior to Christmas

No idea why Harper or any of the NGA lads aren’t at the club this year but it’s hard not to see it as a negative. Particularly given what could be best described as our ambivalence towards the 2025 cohort

I thought it was mentioned in one of the training reports that Kenh had spent time at the club?

I’ve seen him in one session so far and all he really did was a bit of kick to kick with Tylah Williams for 10 minutes. Hopefully we see a bit more of him and Harper Banfield out there after Christmas

I should have worded that better.
After we draft another elite mid with our first pick in 2026, then we need 2 KPD's to establish themselves over the next few years to replace Young, Edwards and co. in maybe 3 years.
Any early favourites?

Cochrane was my guy until the AFL sprinkled their secret herbs and spices....I am still pissed that he somehow falls into Ports Lap.

It would have almost been too good to be true Harley Duursma, Cochrane, CDT .etc + another top 5 mid selection. We would have basically had the core group ready for the next premiership tilt right there.

As far as mids go there is a group of non aligned mids that look elite imo.

Archie Van Dyke/Arkie Butler/Kodah Edwards/Heath Mellody would be the top end but there are always others who rise and fall but getting 1 of these with H Banfield would be a great complement to our current mids.

I feel we need a more inside/outside balanced mid more than another outside player.

KPD options are more plentiful than 2025 draft, Kale Mathews-Hampton/Mitchell Stirling/Tate Hodgson/Xavier Ladbrook would be the 4 higher rated and then we have an NGA raw developing KPD in David Shanahan if he makes it?

Good names. Early preference would be:
1R-Butler (provided he shows ability to play full time mid)
2R-Mellody
3R-Stirling
Match Banfield and Kenh with throw away picks in the 3R
Cat B-Shanahan

I've clipped up the Colts GF on my channel https://www.youtube.com/@1nsideTheGame

I was pretty impressed with HBanfield, Mellody, Robinson, Lucas Cattalini (awkward kicking action), Thomas (reminded me of Marty Mattner). Hopkyns looked good aerially in defence for Claremont but his kicking was a liability - for those more in the know of Colts footy, how does Hopkyns compare to his peers as a KPD?

Hopkins was an overager (2006 born) so never really considered. I'd put him third behind Carpenter(WP) & Cattalini (SF)

What do you mean by ‘Hopkyns was an overager so never really considered’ These boys are only 18/19, only max six months older at times than the next ‘draft year’. For various reasons boys develop and are given opportunities at different stages….

Probably harsh on my part but he is from Claremont & I'm still a bit bitter ;) Unfortunately most overagers need to have pretty exceptional circumstances to be considered. Still a bit grumpy that half of their best on GF day were overagers.

Salutes to all the boys flogging their guts out at the moment trying to impress the coaches.

My boy is a 2008 kid so Ive seen heaps of this years boys.
My roughie punt is on Cody Lee from Perth(No hes not mine). Always been a very solid junior player up forward with a sweet left foot and strong hands.
He has had massive improvement. Grown plenty, gotten a bit of angry in his game and looked super solid down back for Wesley.
He got a call up for the u18s summer squad and touch wood will have a gun draft year.
Any ideas if I cant put a punt on this?

I dont understand how he's NGA eligible but he is
I've seen a few of Cody Lees' PSA games. Can clunk a mark and kick a long ball, and like you said, he's a big lad. Kind of reminded me of a young Tom Barrass (not saying he'll be as good obviously).
