8/326 is a good day, probably lost 2 or 3 wickets more than they should've to be comfortable. i would say this match is evenly poised? Green once again fails, it's a good thing he's making millions in Kolkata, because he's not much chop playing for Australia. Surely Webster must be included in Melbourne if Green fails again in the 2nd innings?

Probably a **** load more than you given I played all of my cricket in Perth and Darwin, not in North Antarctica, when the rules were 100 overs a day.

A moist, juiced up wicket Day 1 with the hot weather to follow would have made it a coin toss game. Whoever bowls first wins. The worst possible type of pitch

This looks like it will be perfect and go the distance

Lots of grass which will hold it together despite the hot weather

Decent scores first innings for both teams then the pitch breaks up and takes spin for the 2nd innings

Could be one of those “need to see how the second innings goes before we judge the pitch” games.

Super performance by Carey, who is only the second player to pass 50 twice this series. He has become safe in his position this last year and should be one of the first picked after the C and VC.

Quality contribution from Usman. Showed a lot of discipline and maturity but for that one chance.

IMO Green should be on notice, and Inglis really is not good enough.

True. Never know until both sides bat.
But it looks a good batting deck. Most of the wickets were charity. Not good balls. That's a worry
