If it isn't reliable why use it?
Same applies to ball tracking.

If you are happy to accept dodgy calls - then just stick with umpires.
Was watching some 2006/7 highlights the other day.
Reviews are infinately better than those days.

Snicko is absolute rubbish and they should get rid of it. Pommie batsman given out last test despite a "lag".

Carey gets a life even though there was a clear spike before the ball supposedly arrived.

If they can't acually match it with the speed of the ball then get rid of it.

Or snicko picked up something other than the ball making noise.

Simple, the technology is more reliable than umpires. You can develop procedures to deal with small issues (I.e. snick one frame behind) and then if you can’t get anything definitive, you stick with the umpire.

ben stokes with the new ball...

doesn't fancy a 0 in the wicket column

I've said it before but when we've got more accurate technology available surely at some point the ICC have to turn around and tell CA/the Australian host broadcaster to get with the times?

You mean when they had hotspot and snicko to have 2 comparable technologies to compare?

Then they dropped it.

Now suddenly all the idiots are worried about the "coffers" when Australias had two of the most profitable summers ever despite somehow posting a massive loss? Guess we better sell the BBL!

Not a good test wicket. Slow, dull, lacking carry on day 1. Too dry so they've left a few extra millimetres of grass but all that's done is seen the ball holding in the surface now and then.
