The broadcaster did an excellent side on evaluation of Root's weight distribution against Cummins and how it led to his dismissal. I reckon the same analysis would show that Green is an absolute sucker for the wide full ball with neither head nor foot getting to the line. Really needs to go back to Shield and score runs again, if he can.

Shirt is wet after those last few overs
Spend 5 minutes outside in Melbourne today and your shirt will be wet too,. Humid as ****. Has looked like it is going to bucket down all day, yet had nothing more than a few drops of rain.
Actually the Poms have played OK today. Reckon we need another hundred + to be sure of it but the longer we keep them out there the better. Hope these two get through to stumps.

How good is Head.
I remember him captaining the T20 side when he was about 19. He hit a six off the last ball to win the game,
I thought then and there we have a champion for test cricket. It took him about 5 years to get there.
He is there now in spades.

I wonder why our batting coach is not picking up on Green attempting to play drives with a slightly closed face meaning he's trying to hit too straight , surely he needs to open the face and should've smashed both those balls
They analyse everything , so why not that
On another matter his bowling since his comeback is very good and quick , something we need with the last 3 tests with hardly a rest day , maybe Webster comes in for Inglis which gives another option , but he's a good pie thrower

They are mentally gone.
He has a wonderful ability to put the previous ball in the past and concentrate just in the here and now.
He's doing a great job as an opener but I'd still prefer to see him bat down the order. Someone used to say that your best should bat at #4
