Scandal Tom Silvagni convicted of rape

If what I am reading is correct, the Silvagni family are now based in QLD?

I wouldn't believe everything in a Daily Mail article.

They're currently still in Melbourne. There were photos during the week of Jack & Tom's gf visiting them at the house they've just sold.

sociopath
/ˈsəʊʃ(i)ə(ʊ)paθ,ˈsəʊsiə(ʊ)paθ/

noun
  1. a person consistently exhibiting antisocial, impulsive, and manipulative behaviour (not in current technical use).
lol. I forgot it's school holidays. Good lord. Educate yourself before posting random definitions.

His upbringing goes completely against sociopathy. Coming from a stable, high-functioning family, with multiple role models in the family goes completely against sociopathy. Sociopathy also leaves a long history oof transgressions and misbehaviours. That also isn't the case here. The reality is, most sexual assaults are committed by non sociopaths. So use this time to educate yourself. Embarrassing stuff. maybe go watch the mushroom case or something else mainstream if you're going to use mainstream terms without knowing their meaning.

Just because someone commits a serious crime it doesn't mean they have a personality disorder and in this case, he doesn't.

You don't know his past history. Saying he comes from a good family and school is totally irrelevent.
He has been doing nothing but lie and manipulate during and since the rape.
It may well be a pattern of his whole life.

Does coming from a priveleged upbringing preclude one entirely from being a sociopath? Wouldn’t have thought so.

Given he seemed quite comfortable not just lying by manipulating evidence and doing it to not only his victims partner but also one of his supposed mates it certainly indicates a history and some skill in doing all of those things.

To be clear I’m not saying he is or isn’t a sociopath, I wouldn’t know either way but your assertion that he most certainly could not be is as equally incorrect as stating that he most certainly is and your surety in the statement with such shitful evidence is pretty embarassing as well.

Wow you can get a lot of expertise from those true crime podcasts?

i get it but cousins technically did not harm anyone he may have come people distress like family and close friend.

where as tom did harm someone
big difference the public don’t like rapist and pedos anyone that harms children.

I think having someone terrified that you are loose enough to harm them is a form of harm. Surely you don’t think too differently.

No it does not. And we don't know what kind of childhood he had, if he suffered any trauma, adverse life experiences, which tend to form a basis for sociopathy or Antisocial Personality Disorder (the clinical diagnosis).

His lawyers said he'd been suicidal due to his family and expectation, whether that was true or not, or just fluff for his case, who knows.

Psychopathy is more likely to have a genetic component rather than environmental. I'm not suggesting he's that either.

I know his past enough to know that he has never had a psychiatrist diagnose him with a personality disorder. So unless information comes out that he has shown concerning behaviour that would warrant such a diagnosis than that's all we need to know. You don't just 'snap' and become a sociopath overnight. It would've presented itself a long long time ago.

lol, yeah, sociopaths are bred, not born so their upbringing is literally one of the deadset giveaways. So once again, way off. Saying that a good family upbringing is 'totally irrelevant' in relation to sociopathy is one of the dumbest things I've read in 2025. So yeah, just educate yourself a little more before using the mainstream term completely out of context.

You said you wouldn't know either way and then say 'it's equally incorrect to assert that he isn't'. sorry, but that's a contradiction and absolute hogwash.

And why are you using the term sociopathy and not psychopathy? Or just using the term interchangeably because most people that don't know just go with whatever.

And yeah it does. It precludes him. There is probably a 0.5% chance that he is a sociopath. That's a fairly accurate likelihood based on absolutely everything. Almost every single indictable crime includes deception, lying, lack of remorse, high levels of narcissism, impulsivity. But this absolutely does not make these people have a personality disorder. People just like labelling them because they try to make sense of the behaviour but in most cases, such as this, they're completely wrong.

The only thing embarrassing is the overused term 'sociopath' for literally anyone that commits a crime and lies.

Oh now it’s “probably” you were pretty ****ing sure last post.

I’m not using any term, someone called him a sociopath and you came in with your YouTube PhD swinging that he most certainly is not (which is now “probably” is not).

I wouldn’t have a ****ing clue if he’s any sort of “path” because I’m not qualified to diagnose it nor have I spent the time with him to do so even if I was, neither have you.

That’s the point, no one on here could state with any certainty what he is other than a rapist so who ****ing cares, you’re both wrong until an expert proves one of you right (which will likely never happen anyway).

Oh is 0.5% too high for you? That's as certain as anyone can be. i'm qualified. And clearly you have no idea what you're talking about on this topic. And sure, find any other expert and they'll say that he certainly is not a sociopath.

the fact that you use the term 'flex' speaks for itself.
Mate what are you talking about? It's the proper technical descriptor for this situation. Trust me, I heard it on youtube.

If you were qualified then you’d know that even a 0.5% chance (and again, absolutely no way you could know this) is not “certain” but by all means talk your shit king.
