Okay so Sydney team

Head
Renshaw
Lab
Smith
Khawaja(if he's retiring)
Carey
Webster
Starc
Neser
Murphy
Boland

Starc and Boland might be due a rest and normally i'd say blood some youth but think it's important we win. So pick the team to do that.

dont hate it

dont think lab has earned his place in Sydney.

but with that many changes maybe need to keep him

Bazball is back! lmao it's funny that the Poms will probably stick with it and think it's good. on a wicket that did a lot.

It's probably perfect for this kind of test. The problem is they think they can play it all the time.

I actually don't think Morgan knows a lot about cricket (or anything, for that matter). But it is a string to his socialite bow, and something to keep him connected with certain members of the elite.

Thanks Cats. I’d take my own food in and maybe buy some chips lol.
I had a raging hangover last morning here and I could get all sorts of fancy food but a bacon roll and builder's tea seemed beyond my reach.

Outside in Yarra Park, Woolies had a fry up of
  • bacon & egg roll, $5.50
  • sausage & onion in bread, $3.50

Morgan strikes me as the typical England cricket fan.

He shops at Harrods while the rest of us look.

Thats all you need to know

This was an embarrassment for Australian cricket. This pitch will get the lowest rating possible by the ICC.
Waiting for Adelaide or Perth to put their hat in the ring for the Boxing day test claiming it should be taken off us.
We have seen some shocking pitches in Melbourne, 2017 comes to mind, but this will be right up there in the top 2 or 3 worst ever...

It's a bad pitch but not woeful in the sense that I think the curator was accounting for a sunny 29 degree day tomorrow and a sunny 34 degree day on day 4. Had the match lasted that far, the sun baking down on it would have changed it quickly. I'm convinced that tomorrow would have been a very good batting day and it then would have peaked and been more challenging with inconsistent bounce by day 4.

All Australia (and England) had to do was bat a bit of time and maybe putting a partnership together could have been easier with an older ball approacihng 80 overs, we just never got there, so we'll never know.
