Mini will attempt to grow these players and if he sees something in them he will give them a crack for a few weeks.

If this was Simmo he would give Brockman 3 CBA's next week and if he lost a couple of clearances than it's back to the forward pocket.

Hats of to Mini and the rest of the staff for giving the kid an opportunity.

Didn't see your game, but heard good things about Tyler performance. The comparison to Shai is apt - when confident and in form plays in a very similar style.

Glad to see he's in a good headspace and getting the opportunity to thrive in your midfield. Hawk fans will continue to follow his career at least for the next few years as he's still a "Hawthorn" person to us.

Been really impressed with Brockman's ability to bounce back after a season where people called for his delisting and some pretty harsh personal issues to become an important contributor week in week out. Player of his skillset will never piece together 4 consistent quarters weekly but to be that x-factor in the clearance game, 10-15 touches, a couple of good goals, some chases, one percenters and strong tackles - much needed piece in the side!

His chasing and closing speed off ball were highlights of his game on Saturday. I was at the game and it was the stuff that doesn’t show up on tv.

Also kicked 2.1 (should have really had 3) and set up some good plays. Hence why I gave him the 1 vote ahead of Ginbey.

It's why some Hawk supporters compared him to Cyril Rioli.

Really hope he comes back next pre-season raring to go; the guy's got a high ceiling.

[PLAYERCARD]Liam Ryan[/PLAYERCARD] didn't break anyone else's jaw as far as im aware.

You had [PLAYERCARD]Marley Williams[/PLAYERCARD] avoid jail for breaking someone's jaw, but as we know [PLAYERCARD]Murray Newman[/PLAYERCARD] got sent to jail for his (premeditation the factory there)

So lets see what happens to Tyler, and if his claim of self defence holds water

Wonder if we would’ve used one of the picks on Lawson Humphries had we kept them

Sure, do the investigation and find out exactly what the circumstances were, but my tolerance for this sort of BS from Tyler is low.

Hes already had one stuff up in geraldton. If he values the people up there that seem to get him in trouble more than he values an afl career then so be it, his decisions to live with. We'll probably hear alot of stuff about him being a good kid, and he may or may not be, but his actions suggest he doesnt want to play afl.

Weve sat through alot of crap on field the last 5 years and are trying to build from the ground floor with a young group driving culture and standards, we dont need players doing this sort of stuff. If a team in the window wants to have a crack given his talent then good luck to them, but id rather see the back of him asap.

If he instigated a fight that left someone with a broken jaw I'm happy to wave goodbye, at this stage it's still an if though.
Never like to get the noose out before the judge has a look.
