Don't see the Trainor fuss, I though he was gifted games compared to the the others. Same with Tom Brown (odd good kick, thats about it) .... I hope I am wrong.

Year 1 Brown was not playing..took him years to get a game.

Gibcus & Trainor got a lot of games in year 1. Gibcus & Sonsie played final that year.

I saw Gibcus & Young get smashed by the KIng & Lukosios in 2024.

next year Trainor & Gibcus will be playing. May need Balta out of the backline.

I'm going early I know, but I think Grilj will be a similar player to Ben Cousins & Cumming will be more like a L Hodge type...
Faull like Barry Hall in hardness at the ball, Armstrong like a Lynchy.
Trainor & Gibcus could become the most formidable backline pairing for the next decade....

Where Balta is hidden for the remainder of his contract is an interesting watch. Aside from playing in the ruck , he hinders the development of others that are likely to have more upside .
Our forwardline and backline have performed worst when he’s been in there over the last 2 years .

I think Gibcus may surprise this year. He is a great athlete, beautiful kick and just needs games into him. If Miller can turn himself into a very good key back, Young pretty good, then Gibcus injury free should eclipse them easily.

And Trainor is much the same but not as good in the air or defensively. Will be interesting to see how he progresses and will he become a key back or a third tall.
