Yeah and his age had to be factored in. I was sorely tempted to add him (I didn't); If he was around Border/Lillee's vintage, the mystery surrounding it wouldn't have been worth considering.
And you also have that Supercoach second guessing that you know he's going to be a popular pick, so if it does rapidly go downhill for him, you're almost starting with a 50 point handicap.
In my case, I think selecting Randy Moss last year in very similar last minute circumstances helped with my decision to stay away from Martyn.
