Another road of a pitch.
No wonder our test batsmen struggle on green tops.

We struggled enough in Brisbane though. Batting is woeful country wide bar a few

As someone who doesn't really follow the BBL that much, I find it hilarious that a team with such little success as the Stars garners so much hate from everyone compared to teams like the Sixers or Scorchers

Because Eddie McGuire was involved in the early days and they’ve never got over it.

Plus most of the hate is from Scorchers fans who are the only ones who’ve taken it seriously since day 1.

Dude, shut up. T20 has nothing to do with test.

Shield pitches are getting criticised for having too much grass on them. They're all the same. There's no variety. You pop up for a month a year, spout some bullshit then hide.
Definately are the team that wear the biggest target on their backs.
Even the commentators were willing the Heat to win.
I take it back.

You know the Stars have lost because smasha says how they were robbed by the commentators and the Corrupt BBL.

Anyway the Heat would have to be unbackable favourites from here on in, adding Labs, Khawaja and Neser to the side they couldn’t possibly lose.
I wouldn't go that far. It's still not the best squad in the BBL with those players added to it IMO.

They've presumably got an international player to add to replace Afridi too. Curious to see which Pom that nobody's heard of they go for this time. Whiteley was a personal favourite of mine, though I can't look past Stephen Parry. The Heat were the only domestic club he ever played for other than Lancashire. May as well bring him back, he's only 1 year older than Flintoff was when we signed him.

He's too well known for the Heat. We prefer our Ross Whiteley and Paul Walter types. If the average punter isn't asking "who the **** is that?" after we announce we've signed them, something has gone terribly wrong.

But in a tournament heavily lopsided towards chasing, it’ll be a pretty deep and potent batting lineup.

Shame England is off to Sri Lanka, could have snagged a couple of players. Although Hurricanes and Strikers set to lose a bowler each when they go.

Bryant handled that Siddle over extremely well. You can argue the tight no-ball call but Bryant still sent it. It was 4th of the over so at least two more deliveries no matter what.

1/22 off 4 overs by Kuhnemann was a super performance as well.

Hope they don't bother. Balkin and Patterson are doing a great job, let the young Aussie kids play. Developing those kids is what the BBL should be about, not bringing over some mediocre English county journey man for a month long Summer holiday.

The Stars are the Essendon of the BBL.
The Renegades are North Melbourne at this point.

The Sixers are the Swans. Much like the Swans, if you hate the Sixers you absolutely can't stand them, but then those who don't mind them just go on about the 'winning culture blah blah blah'.

Nothing but respect for Perth. They've been a force since the early days.

Only the Melbourne Stars could lose the unloseable game ...again! I couldn't believe that knick wasn't heard or given out by review, all the commentators knew it was out as they called "he smashed it" but then nothing? I still can't get into the BBL though. As for the pitches? They prepare roads for these games as it's all about 6s not good bowling.

I’d have almost given Kuhermann MOTM was the difference in chasing north of 230
