UNOs one of those games where it seems basically every family has their own house rules, especially re: playing a card after picking up and stacking. Officially you can't stack Draw 2s or Draw 4s

The most chaotic (and therefore the most fun if everyone playing is a good sport) is allowing full stacking (i.e. you can play either a Draw 2 or a Draw 4 to extend it until someone can't)

Uno 7-0 is the best variant. Play a 0 and cards get passed in direction of play, play a 7 and can swap hands with someone. Add in being able to stack draw 2's and draw 4's and it was good to have someone sure they were near winning with 1 or 2 cards, only to give them a hand of 10 or 12.

Monopoly - played this heaps as a kid, where we did the common house rule of Free Parking with all taxes / fees going to the centre to be collected by whoever lands there. Whilst this made it more fun if you got there, that also extends the game significantly from 'proper' rules without and auctions etc. if you don't purchase. Still haven't played it in over a decade, when there are now many board games actually worth playing without rage inducement.
