I will always wonder what could have been this year if we didn't get so many injuries and were able to push for a home Super Bowl.

But injury management is part of winning it and sadly the 49ers have been poor at this for too long!!!!

Lead up has been a bit flat actually, even the media stuff has been so focused on coach moves and hall of fame stuff it's let down talk about the actual upcoming game. Pro bowl was a disgrace as well.

Not sure if NFL need change rules so that hiring/ interviews can't take place till after the Superbowl.

It usually is a bit flat but this seasons was very flat.

Comparing to last year's game it had about 15 more pages of discussion at about the same time when the game ended and that was with people supposedly suffering from Chiefs fatigued.

Yeah but last season had the Eagles and there’s a lot more active Eagles fans on here than either of yesterdays two teams

I’ve said it many times before D Lines are the key to winning Superbowls way more often than QB’s

Of course you need the good QB to get there

But once the big game rolls around …..

Been a very good SB punting compass for me over the years , quite often causing an upset too

Plus the more points in the 2nd half bet is as close to a certain value add as you can get in sports

Just wasn't an exciting match up.

I think a bigger problem for the league is that there's a real lack of diversity amongst the teams at the top over a long time.

I think something like 11 franchises have made up all of the last 11 superbowl match ups, 9 have made up the last 10.

And we're seeing with teams like the Seahawks, and Eagles that some of these franchises are more likely to rebuild and go back than most teams are to make it.

It was a dead Super Bowl. The streets were dead. Bars empty. People went home early. There used to be games of darts and poker afterwards for cash. Back where I come from the nights just getting started. It was like a pre season grand final that nobody wanted to win.

Unlike the AFL which also seems to rinse and repeat finalists, there really shouldn't be any excuse for an NFL team rising. Same salary cap, draft rules, access to best coaching and front office staff is equal. Ownership seems to be the biggest handicapper.

So basically a dig at Dan Marino. More than half that list still playing.
Just fodder for the QB Wins/rings idiots.

Its a team game and wins are not a QB stat.

Especially as Dan Marino is the greatest QB to ever play the game

Feels similar to the AFL. There are so many players involved that one or two elite ones can’t get you over the line, so effective whole of club management and good, reliable coaching is so important.

I’d bet decent money that Geelong, Hawks, Sydney etc win more flags before Carlton, Essendon, North, Saints etc win one.

In a similar way, if you were allowed to pick 10 NFL franchises out of 32 to win 6 or more SBs in the next decade, I’d bet most supporters of the sport could win that bet. You can probably take around half of the clubs out through poor ownership, TM and coaching personnel right away.

apparently QB rings gurus have Trent Dilfer as better QBs.

and dont even try and argue that there are better QB's then Brady with his cult of dipshits. Even when Brady himself has said there are players that can make throws/plays he wished he could

Brady relied on top 10 Defenses his entire career. The whole AC argument that Brady got BB rings is flawed. Brady was generally unreliable in the playoffs and SBs, turned the ball over a lot.
