North Melbourne has recently handed a Supplemental Selection Period invite to the VFL's most promising young player, Tom Blamires. The 23-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2025 after making the move from Sandringham to Frankston, playing across half-back and midfield.

He will fight with Zac Becker for the final list spot, a 22-year-old premiership player from Sturt.

The SSP deadline is March 2.

First one is a great kick. That second one is just on a Harlem globetrotters / YouTube trick shot level. Might not have seen a quicker end-to-end transition in all me years.

Do they let you play VFL if you're put on LTI though? Blake's foot might not be on the severe end, could easily play back half of the season in the VFL - assume if it was severe we'd have called it already. Probably weren't plans to debut him this year anyway. Might mentally be easier for Blake too.

We need to find another ssp spot. Both of those training would wipe the floor with half of our current crop in the backline.
