The Nathan Jones bit was both hilarious and awfully sad

We almost have the opposite problem. Some good damaging high impact per possession players, but need a high possession distributor. Hopefully McCarthy becomes our main one this year and some of the other young guys develop behind him (Gross, maybe Sam Allen).

I didn't recognise most of the others actually. At first I thought the ball red head might have been Jones.

From what I’ve seen during preseason, McCarthy is more damaging as a second receiver rather than a first possession midfielder - it takes advantage of his run and carry/evasiveness

It’s why many posters were keen for us to draft Sharp who seemed custom built for that extractor role. I’m happy we took CDT despite having a preference predraft to trade back to get Sharp and something else so I’m not going to be critical of the club, but I’ll watch Sharp’s development with interest

We do need to find someone who can consistently get hands of the ball first - Hewett has been doing that a bit in matchsims but I’m not sure if he has the ability to replicate that against better opposition
