Sydney is taking a leaf out of the Lions book and trying to put speed on the ball.
Even Freo is.

Anything in our ball movement to show something being worked on?
Or just the usual North kick it long to the flanks bullshit

We don't have athletic players, so we can't close down or open space enough.

We don't have dangerous forwards unless in some space, so you can have an attacking defensive plan aainst us.

When we win it, we are more likely to kick to the opposition or a genuine 50/50.

We are not dangerous often enough

• allergic to tackles

Waited until every defender got back then decided to kick to a pack at the top of the goal square
Don't even talk about the hospital kick inside 50 under no pressure that nearly killed Sheezel after dumping it on his head.

There have been a few moments where we've transitioned the ball well, on other occasions we've let ourselves down with our kicking for goal. I think for me the most disappointing thing is how easily Melbourne have been able to transition the ball with little or no pressure from us, we genuinely don't know how to defend.

Reminder that we looked elite against Collingwood 2years ago, horrendous against Melbourne last year - and overall still just sucked during the season.

The pre-season matches genuinely mean zilch. Judge them off the real stuff in 20 days

Except us. We need to allow time for the oppo to get ahead of us so we kick it to our forwards 1 v 3.

Practice games don’t matter…. I’ve seen moments of very nice ball movement at times. RHJ looks very good when he has the ball in hand.

Big concern is the lack of defensive transition again. We are struggling to stop that again and it’s honestly the only improvement I’ve been looking for today… haha
