If you look at our team for this week, on paper at least it would be the strongest team we could possibly field, minus Archer and probably Goater. We should be winning this game tomorrow at home against a depleted team just one position above us. No excuses. If we lose, we can hand back the keys to the joint, it's over.

Not sure what people were expecting?

Clarko said as much in his presser that George was in but didn't mention anyone else.....

Nice looking side on paper.
The wings are super young and that’s probably part of us fluctuating in games.
But you can only imagine Finn and Kerch in a few years.
I like what we’re doing get all the high end talent in……really missing someone like Goater in the Tucker position

I hope McKercher copped a ****ing big rocket because he was insipid and certainly deserved to go back to the 2’s to get some form.

You’d have to assume Clarko was satisfied that Kerch took the feedback of his game and wants to give him a second chance. He’s a second year player, and kids are going to have off games. I was expecting him to play VFL this week, but hope he comes out and backs up Clarko and the selectors by showing it was a one off.

Have confirmed that we are not wearing a special guernsey this year.

Wearing our traditional home strip, with a special SuperClash emblem on the chest.

Interesting departure from what we've done in previous years. I'm not unhappy about it tbh.
Good. Much smarter to lean into our core branding on our biggest day.

Within limits, yes. He will never be a Cunnington or a Ziebell in that regard. But he can learn to go when it's his turn to go. And when his body is more AFL ready, and he's more confident at the level, this won't be as noticeable. Boomer wasn't particularly hard at it. But he wasn't soft. That's the level of hardness Colby will be able to reach.
Boomer was never soft even in the early days of his career. Comparing McKercher to him is absolutely doing him a disservice. He’s top 5 all time at our club for a reason.

Where’s the clarko who dropped the dawks captain
No clarko cluster except the cluster**** variety

Very disappointing way of ‘driving standards’
One change and the guy that played one quarter gets the ass
If they weren't gonna start Hardehamenen in the 22 then he's better off playing in the mckays and getting a full game.

Xerri to soften TDK up again please, tackle him with vigor, and often
X is playing sore and has been running in quicksand by the last quarter the past couple of games.

I reckon TDK will run him ragged in the last tomorrow.. hope I’m wrong..

Agree that he’ll never be a physical contest style player, though he should improve in that area, what I want to see from Colby playing an outside role at the moment is more, way more running.

I'm becoming more and more like the posters I claim to find difficult. An 'off game' or his being a 'second year player' is not sufficient reason to become the biggest squib to pull on the North jumper in recent memory. Bigger than Phoenix Spicer when factoring in their respective frames.

It's effort based. Every player should be expected to apply effort, 100% of the time. There is no progression bar for effort, no conditions that make a subpar effort for a bloke with his tank acceptable.

He absolutely deserved to be dropped based on those utterly pitiful efforts, regardless of how slow it would've made us. He cost us goals by himself and sent a message to his teammates that he thought defensive application was beneath him. That messaging in itself has been a pattern for him this year, and last week he cranked it up to 11.

I too hope he repays the faith and will be barracking for him whenever he's near the ball, but you're giving him an out here he doesn't deserve. Your post requires no more than one sentence: 'I hope he repays the faith.'
