I don't think X has been 100% since the Melbourne game. Also when they threw Logue in the ruck it's apparent that they are not happy with the X/Darling set-up
Yeah. I suppose fatigue on a 32 yo in 34 degrees temp had nothing to do with the decision to throw logue in the ruck as a chop out? LOL

Sorry for not being an 8 year old. Social media team operating at the same standard as the football team they're promoting.

Hahaha. Pretty sure you arent the target market of those posts big boy, so have a breath.

Out camping with the young fella and his young Roos supporting cousins, and they loved the post when I showed them. Pretty sure that’s who the social media team are targeting, not us rusted ons.

So we know that in addition to those who played last week, RHJ and Teakle trained with the seniors. What does that mean? Are we resting Darling perhaps? Or will Teakle come in as an extra tall?

Sounds like neither Duursma or McKercher are being dropped this week.

I said earlier in the week that the selection was critical for this game.

Will wait and see official announcement for confirmation but I gotta say I'm not loving the reports.

Oh **** me the stuff they're coming out with is so ****ing lame.

Can we start getting AI to produce all our social media stuff?
While not as passionate as your fine self, I agree, talk about being on a hiding to nothing.

If he plays well the post is completely irrelevant, but if he's so-so or any other outcome it looks ridiculous.

And for the record I usually don't mind North's 'cute' media stuff throughout the week - not every fan is as mental as us lot, but it's a big week and this doesn't help.

Well, all I can say is he didn't train with the seconds.
Notable others who did were Ford, Maley, Harvey, Bergman, Goad, Payne, both Dawsons, Urquhart and as I mentioned Phillips and Scott.

How about RHJ?
Surely they won't bring him back so soon? Should play his way into form.

That said, he could be a decent sub, get his speed on the tiring Carlton defence

Dropping McKercher who is arguably our best line breaker when he has the ball, against Carlton who are extremely limited on the outside...

Well that is just a ridiculous suggestion.

Would you consider Scott to be a line breaker?

Last time we played Carlton they tagged Kerch after half time such was his influence

Any special guernsey for Good Friday?

Have confirmed that we are not wearing a special guernsey this year.

Wearing our traditional home strip, with a special SuperClash emblem on the chest.

Interesting departure from what we've done in previous years. I'm not unhappy about it tbh.

Do you think McKercher has been good this year? Good enough to keep his spot?

Or are you just keeping him on this supposed potential ?

Fair point
A fair point, but he still needs to be more aggressive when he doesn't have the ball. I'm not really concerned about players that probably won't make it, but I think he will, but like Davies-Uniacke he needs to be more defensive minded and actually put pressure on the opposition not just run along. Do more to force a turnover.

Yeah, both RHJ and Teakle trained with the seniors. Who knows what the plan is. Could just be matchday emergencies or a couple of changes in the works

Yes, in fact we are probably considering adding RHJ to the lineup for this very reason. He's a poor man's McKercher.

He hasn't been good, but he has had some good moments. For a player of his talent, putting games into him is vital. And any day it can click for him.

Either way, he still does some nice things every week. But at times has poor decision making, such as a forward handball to a stationery target under pressure. But he'll learn from that

Can he learn not to be so soft?

Can he learn not to be so soft?
Within limits, yes. He will never be a Cunnington or a Ziebell in that regard. But he can learn to go when it's his turn to go. And when his body is more AFL ready, and he's more confident at the level, this won't be as noticeable. Boomer wasn't particularly hard at it. But he wasn't soft. That's the level of hardness Colby will be able to reach.

I hope you're right mate but on the evidence so far, he's way off it
