Nice. I was really pushing for Max Heath last year when TDK was obviously leaving. Very disappointed we didn't chase him. I reckon he can really play and is what we need

So, what you're saying is that you're happy our list management team were banking on at that time a failed forward/ second ruck & who averaged 13 games a year, a player just selected0 in the draft and a father son who was a year away from being drafted (and not considered to be a top 25 player in his draft...

Oh and for those who think our cap was in a tight position at the end of 2024 are sadly mistaken.

I totally agree with you on this, i think we were on the back foot waiting for contracts to expire. But i never got the feeling that Jack was a 'keep at all cost' and i think they were happy enough to let him go. I think it's more a case of not being able to bring in a big name KPD and decided to go with Jack and Haynes to be competative. I think, had it been anyone other than the saints, we would have been shocked that another club would offer stupid money for a fringe player.

But we did have some money, which is why we entered the Houston race, we were trying to make sure we had enough to cover a TDK also. We ended up going the long road and building the future which i personally think was the right call from our list management team.
