I genuinely don't know. The source is pretty reliable and usually well informed.

Nothing has come out about it though - although it might take some time before it does.

I think this rumour is a total load of crap, but I will post it anyway just for the shits n giggles.

A mate of mine told me that Port Adelaide are extremely desperate to keep Zac Butters and they are going to offer him a massive multilayered contract

He said it will be something like $30 million over a 15 year contract.

He’s 25 now. So a 8 year playing contract and then a 7 year coaching, promotion and ambassador role contract.

$2.8 M per year over 8 years = $22.4 m

Then $7.6 m over 7 years ($1.08 m a year)

I just laughed at him as that’s just crazy money, but Port Power cannot afford to lose him.

NWM literally doubled his salary in 23 weeks last season by having St Kilda, Port and the Crows in the mix. Zac already has Brisbane, Essendon and the Crows all serious bidders. He could play himself into a HUGE contract.

So many rumours are out and about right now.

My wife came home last night and said her work mate told her the crows are hiding a serious injury to a young player.

Whether their is any truth to that, I don’t know but their are so many scandalous rumours floating about. With 99% of them being untrue.
