Getting in before a McCartney bid would be ideal.

Take a top 8 KPP with our natural first rounder, then take McCartney around 15-20. Then get another pick in the mid 2nd round prior to getting a bid on Harris.
Would be ideal to draft someone before that bid or even whilst sliding back and picking up another selection inside 25-30 to match McCartney bid (another 2026 pick would be my preference before 2027, but we do have a few F/S's there).
Then take the best wing/hbf or another kpf/ruck like a Houndsome or Van Hattum.
Aggressively trade into the top 30 with Tassie draft 2027 or 2028 R2 picks (or R1 with R2 back) potentially as well another option to pick up someone like a Szerzyn as a medium defender perhaps. Match Harris and Devine with the R3/R4 picks.
Wait and see with Duurs and Jy I guess as to whether we have any other picks to play with.
Not sure we'd take five players in the draft, but I wouldn't mind us taking more talent this year and less in 2027 and 2028 from a strategic point of view, as we're likely targeting specific talent/needs/traits and that point imo.

Bloody hell, we injure them just by having the possibility of training with us 😂
Sucks. But on the plus side it might be hard to judge how good he is if some other key fwds kill it during the year, so we might get him a bit cheaper potentially if he nominates us.

Not the worst result for us if I’ll be honest. He will be cheap at the end of the season and will likely just go to the club who makes the biggest commitment to him imo.

The club would be smart getting involved offering full medical and rehab support even just during holidays and online

it’s really unfortunate for him. But puts us in a good position to use our first and then collect our 2 father sons and 1 NGA with our remaining picks. This would be a really strong haul of talent.

Swans can pay for it and prepare him for us

It's a nasty injury and living in Sydney, it probably puts Swans in the box seat. If they put time and effort into his rehab, it will make it harder for him to break ties.
Conversely if it goes bad they'll keep shtum and let us celebrate bagging our new rehab room Trojan Horse.

can't say i do

what i will say is there in general is such a negative stigma to arrogant people and people don't take kindly to it

nothing wrong with arrogance imo
This is so good!

The lines to respond with; "If you were as good as me, you'd be arrogant too!" Or "I'm nowhere near as I arrogant as I should be" or my favourite "compared to how good I am, I'm not arrogant at all".

Nice work, this is the time of the year you do tend to shine!

Keen?

That's my Mornings, sure, what about the Afternoon crew and the Goater and George wraparounds? They're feeling left out.

You actually might have the wrong Brother, he does look a bit like my dad, whereas I luckily look like mum.

And we've got the option to shift back in the order in R1 if we want to get another selection as well.
May not be necessary though if we have any capital from potential player trades with Jy or Duursma at year end.
I suppose you could trade the R1 for a good young player and get back a R2 to help match Aidan too.
I'd prefer to give up 2027 or 2028 R1's in that scenario though as first preference though.
Swans don't have a 2026 or 2027 R1 either after the Curnow trade, so won't get a late R1 bit from them.

Father Harris was 180cm, Sam looks to have at least 2-3cm on him which is a good sign as he was only listed at 179cm last year.
Runners v thongs though ...
