Very sad. I must have read that first book a dozen times. The first 2 books are absolute gold. Genuine lol stuff. Not sure any other books have had that effect on me where I've actually had to put it down for a minute so I could collect myself.

Magda Szubanski, one of Australia’s most beloved comedians, who was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in May, has announced she is in remission.

“Seems I’m not dead. Though I better check with social media because they know more about me than I do,” she quipped in a video posted to Instagram on Friday. “I’ve completed chemo and I am now in remission. So, phew, big relief. It’s not a cure, but because I got a good remission, that hopefully means that I’ll keep the cancer at bay for a good long time.”

Very pleased about this news, big fan of Magda.

Also forgot to put her on my list so I'm pleased for that reason too!

Another very sad one. 2 days running!

Was reading the above obit and I have never heard of this before
Concurrently she appeared in ABC sci-fi series The Interpretaris.

“I played Vera Balovna, an astronaut in a slinky black outfit and a cape, for 6 weeks. We were one of the first (sci-fi shows) and it was before computers. But on the spaceship we had 2 computers: Alice and Henry and they fell in love!” she said.
