If they have

• damaged property gaining access to the scissor lift or damaged the scissor lift itself...that could be a reason for arrest and detention and court case; or
• borrowed something from where ever they were without the permission of the owner..like take the scissor lift for drive down a main road?

Either way, trespass is the most minor of criminal offenses, up there with spitting on the sidewalk or J walking.


The other part I find puzzling is that both players have different court dates? why would the prosecution not ensure the arresting officers give their evidence just once?

Sure, “a lighter or something” was meant to convey that it was likely a fairly benign item that was found, like an empty baggie. Unlikely to be something serious that wouldn’t just be thrown out as soon as any half competent lawyer got involved.

I think the most, if not only noteworthy part of this whole thing is that it was Moore involved.

If this type of news dropped for Hawthorn 10 years ago then the equivalent would be someone like Breust.

Not particularly. They just have different laws.
Lived here for 10 years and not one speeding fine. In Australia i was booked 5 to 10kms over the limit 3 times. Point being, Australia loves booking people for minor incidents as well.
