I assume an overreaction to the Gulden/Heeney injuries.

And not having played away from Sydney yet maybe.

Even before the injuries they were still $1.70 favs.
They being swans?

Nothing weird about it. Line is 19.5 points. Swans 67% win record with Gulden 44% without. Without Heeney it’s just over 30%. They went 5-8 last season without Gulden when I think Warner was out as well.

Playing a top 4 team from last season in Melbourne. Odds make sense

Hawks have looked crap to start the season and we have other good players.

Don't rate Hawks that much. A good 5-8 team nothing more but I am worried it could take a game or two for Sydney to bed down their system without Gulden and the Hawks could win by merely catching them at a good time.

Yeah not sure their mid field is good enough to do too much damage.

Of all the clubs chasing Butters they probably need him the most.
With no Gulden or Heeney, Sydney's midfield isn't much chop either.

I think Gulden/Heeney are big enough outs to tip the game in Hawthorn's favour, just.

They looked fine last week but that’s half the problem. Do you read more into the Giants game or the training procession of last week? Like most teams, they’re a different team at home.

In any case, should be a very good game hopefully.

They were being held by the bombers early until they wilted, I dunno if I'd say that was fine. Giants look very average and belted them. Their midfield mix is way off par and their key forwards have plateaued.

Sydney started like a house on fire but have since forgotten how to hit a target

They’re lucky Hawthorn can’t kick a goal to save their lives
Umpiring not helping, campaigners just hanging off curnow.
