Have tipped the Dogs. I still have PTSD from the finals series last year and serious trust issues with this team.

Hoping I am wrong.

Keen as mustard to see how we use Dawson this week. With Rankine back and Rachele spending more time in the middle, starting to think I want him to spend a lot more time across half back.

Interesting note - In the 92 games with us before the Collingwood game - he had under 300 metres gained only 4 times (and all 4 were above 22 metres gained).

No idea how on earth he had only 148 metres gained against Collingwood (21 disposals, 14 kicks).

Is the dogs side different from the one we completely outplayed on their home deck last year?

Our team pretty much the same minus Curtin add ah chee
Not sure about completely outplayed, we had no answer for Naughton last time. Just helped that TT up the other end was even better.

Mostly same personnel but I think there is a bit more focus this year and Beveridge appears to have made some adjustments. They under performed last year.

At home I think we will win, I still think Collingwood are very ordinary so tonight will be a better indication of how we are going to go this year

I rate the Bulldogs much higher than Collingwood but I still think we're the better side.

I find it strange betting has Bulldogs as slight favourites when we beat them comfortably both home and away just last season, and it being our home game.

Interested to see any late change, and how we'll handle the ruck this week.

Anyhow, Crows by 3-4goals :thumbsu:

Oh, and Rankine. ****ing Rankine, biatches!!! :D:D:D

If we are the real deal/contender we SHOULD win on our home deck. if we lose, we are the same old mediocre crows.
That’s not a good observation. Every team will likely lose a game or two (even home games) and to define our entire season on the back of one game is a bit harsh. A loss doesn’t make us mediocre. This is not Eagles, Richmond, or Bombers. This is a very good side and they will threaten a lot of teams.

Naughton looked dangerous early but then was nullified. We also lost butts for a big portion of the game. They got some junk time goals to make the scoreline look close but we were in control of the game after the first 10 mins.

Abso-****ing-lutely. Irritates me to no end that we've moved away from Daws at half back flank as a rotation.

Future projecting, but I'd love to see us eventually take a page from the Hawks dynasty book and use Dawson like they did with Shaun Burgoyne. Where he ends up primarily a half back flanker but you throw him into the center when the game is on the line.

Just one of those games Adelaide has got to win to further expunge those finals demons. I think we'll have the Dogs measure and do it by 20-25 points.

If we win centre bounces and control at least 1 of Bont and Richards we should win

Dogs have come in a bit since yesterday. Was dead level then.

Nicks has a very good record against Beveridge, especially considering we've only played them once at Adelaide Oval since 2018 (this will be the second time)

Nicks has gone 3-3 against them playing majority away games including beating them in 2022 and 2024 when we were rubbish

I'd expect to beat them

For some unknown reason, Nicks thinks Dawson is more dangerous as a forward than as a half back.
He's wrong.

Looking forward to it. I hope we play all 4 quarters like we did in the 3rd quarter of the game last weekend. The Doggies have won 5 games at Adelaide Oval, all against Port and dropped 11. Should be a great game tonight and it will be great to start 2-0 with the tough game in Geelong to come next week.

Our prime time home record (free to air games in the 03 region) at Adelaide Oval is average a roughly 50% record (maybe a little better than 50%), but most those losses were to Hawthorn and Essendon.
