Still agonising between Ash and Zorko. I’ve got no one on bye next week so happy to take Ash, surely he’s more durable over the long term?
Can Ash get 105+ AFL Fantasy points against Pies?

Im a bit 45:55 on that one. (Yes/No)

Does Taylor have the endurance and pace to keep up with Max Holmes for 4 quarters? Holmes easily one of the most fittest players in the comp.
I wouldn’t think so.
It is going to be wet though, so a high stoppage game would make it easier.

Adelaide haven’t tagged for a while, so hopefully I’m just jumping at shadows.

I had Holmes in as my trade in target all week but in recent times have swapped to Walsh as I think he still represents some value and to bank some cash for flexibility for next week. Will Walsh be tagged this week? Also it looks like he is the main CBA guy but with Cerra coming back soon will Walsh be affected

I still have no idea which way to go with trades lol... such a hard week.

Need to pick two of Zorko, Jaicos, Naicos, Steele, Holmes and Marshall.

Should go the more Value options but Zorko could be putting up 130+ in the next few weeks.
Naicos would have to be one

Zorko I'm torn on as well, Ash is significantly cheaper plus I only have one on that bye. Plus already have Wilmot.

IMO walsh is over rated in fantasy. hes a 95-100 guy

This is supposedly a red matchup for Daicos x2 this week v GWS but Sinclair still went 120, but the mids not so great for Saints.

Ash ill wait till after his bye.

Who to move out from my team? I have one trade locked which is Rozee > Houston but torn on the second trade.

Parish
Lindsay
Langford
Windsor
Grundy
Visentini
Blakiston

Just staying aware that with Steene I may have to see Darcy Cameron on his way out of my side. Brought in ZZ on-field in the defence and via DPP can move Cameron now at any point to a premo DEF.

As for the Jack Ross discussion, I like the role as a high CBA defensive midfielder, we see guys like Graham for the Eagles score well in a bad side, and given the weather for this game I can see him going 8-10 tackles. I may very well jump on, only issue being that I’d still need to pick a forward rookie next week to sit on the bench. Carroll on his bye down to a forward rook is an option via DPP with Ross

Would Steene being in the team not let Cameron do what he does best and intercept mark all day

If you're picking Jack Ross (presumably for the rest of the year) because the weather is shithouse this weekend in Perth, that's a hilariously short-sighted approach to fantasy football. He's scored 93 and 88 this year and averaged 72 last year with two tons.

Just generally stay away from the defensive midfielders, good luck to you but an extremely bold choice if you opt for him.

Not buying solely for that reason, more so a reason for the jumping on point, but I had him in my side over pre season at points. Historical scores about 80 with he sees 60% + CBAs and so far he’s had 15 and 20 in the opening 2 weeks. Given the lack of FWD options it’s more so weighing up going a rookie like Scerri, Hannaford, or Gothard to sit on my bench, or Ross to play on field.

Edit: also obviously not for the entire year, he’d be gone after the mid season byes you’d hope

I certainly hope so, but rucking less is always going to reduce scoring at least a bit. With how good McAndrew has been scoring for a rookie could be in the conversation with all these premo injuries elsewhere for those that didn’t start him at R2 to shift him there.

Don't get me wrong, I see your rationale, but even with more mid time this year he's still at about 90. Historical data is not appealing either, it's also not the first time he's playing in the guts. I'd take the gamble with someone like Scerri and Hannaford tbh if I had to have a cheaper forward or DP player this week.

If you pull it off, congratulations.

Don’t think I will, but there’s just a dearth of appealing forward options. Not touching Miers at that price, nor McInerney, no confidence in Rachele, Watson and MacDonald on the bye. TK, Bolton, Ross Lipinski are the sort of players that are available this week unless I want to leave 1.2m+ ITB

Who are your rucks at the moment?
Essentially Weighing up 2 Options. I'm leaning towards #1at the moment.

Rozzee > Watkins (Grlj moves to DEF)
Windsor > Xerri

Pros
Essentially nets me 2 great cash generators (McAndrew to bench + Watkins)
Houston may go up $60-70k, but this is offset by the cash gen of Watkins + McAndrew now on my bench (doesn't need to be upgraded)
Grlj to DEF means I just need to bring in Scerri (or another MiD/FWD) & go Petracca > Houston next week (or anyone really)
22 on-field this week (extra player being Xerri with a soft match-up)

Cons
Miss out on Houston, especially if he goes big tonight

Option #2

Rozzee > Houston
Windsor > Watkins

Benefits
Grab Houston at a better price, get his points if he goes big.

Cons
Miss-out on Xerri, and tricky to get next week.
Lose DPP flexibility
Have only gained 1 top cash generator instead of 2 in option #1
only 21 on-field & no Xerri, weaker score this week.

If you have that much cash, just splash it on Miers. If you are confident in his numbers for the rest of the year, why does it matter what you pay?

Two sideways trades.

Rozee -> Houston
Petracca -> Miers

200k or so in the bank. 21 on the field at the moment, inevitably 15 once Sunday has finished. F*** off AFL Fantasy.
Same trades... Sigh. $565 banked though.
Feels dirty overpaying for Miers but he's pretty consistent, no bye til RD16 and odds on he scores more points most weeks than Murph Reid who I was going to bring in.

Miers is a safe 90avg at least.
Might have the odd down game, might go 112 tonight.

Decided to stick with Rozee -> Houston.

But I'm changing my second trade from Trac -> Miers to Trac -> Murphy Reid and taking just under $1m into next week.

Don't like paying over $1m for Miers who I think is overpriced (surely won't maintain that average?), and confident Murphy can keep making cash and average 75+ through to the mid-season byes.

Boooo get on the Jack Ross hype train
