This was in response to me saying 'I don't see star status in Windsor' after a few games.

Okay, so serious convo. Now that the dust has settled, are you still on the 'Windsor is going to be a star'. Because it's not only that, it's that you found it inconceivable and humorous that I didn't see star status in him. He is currently getting cba's galore and doing very little to justify being in such a good role. And I think star status to me would be AA calibre, at the least.
"CBAs galore". Had lots of CBAs today (we only used 4 mids all day though), but rest of the year has averaged 50%.

You've given Sparrow how many years and you're celebrating after 2 good games, yet you try to write off young players way too early in their development. This is why you get eye rolls when you post this stuff. It's ironic really given Windsor had just as good tackle and pressure act numbers as your boy today.

Trying to play a gotcha because you've pulled this 'has to be AA or I'm right!' rubbish is really boring.

nah Sparrow was good all of last year. this is reflected in his best and fairest results.

Then what does that make Sparrow? Tonight alone you've called him a 'jet' and a 'gun.'
a very good role player. He's not a jet or gun but he's one of the first chosen each week because there's only about 2 or 3 players on our whole list that defend like him. That's just an undeniable fact at this point. He's gone up a few gears in his role now, I think we can all agree. Obviously he'd be miles ahead of Langford in the bnf this year.

Yet you’ve called him a jet and gun tonight.

Kid's a ****ing rake who's played 39 games in a shit side and a turbulent environment but still cracks in, if the club reckons there's an inside mid there let them give him a chance while we're in this phase. As has been said was perfectly decent in a great club win today, 5th most contested possessions, 3rd most I50s, 3rd most tackles/pressure acts and 2nd most intercepts on the ground. 8th for ground ball gets. Fairly solid performance, kid has range. Exciting trajectory if he keeps improving.

Also you can't just 'play him off the wing'. That's now how the wing works in modern footy.

Love Windsor, don't love Danster. Enjoy the win ffs
That's fine. I don't dislike Windsor for what it's worth. He was recruited to be AA calibre. And I don't think he's show a high ceiling or taken his opportunities in his role. His speed is always important though. He laid some nice tackles yday which was good, but also required.
